Job DescriptionPosition: Director of Professional ServicesJob Type: Full-timeSchedule: 8am - 5pm / Monday - FridayWork Location: Hybrid, Torrance, CAPay Range: Annual Salary $145k-175kPlease be advised: Only candidates authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship will be considered.Position OverviewThis position must have Managed Service Provider Experience (MSP). This role will collaborate in business development, expand market share and deliver and own IT Solutions from end-to-end delivery (scoping through implementation and handoff) of consulting engagements.This role carries direct accountability for revenue realization, contribution margin targets, and team performance. The Director bridges business development, technical delivery, and managed services operations—ensuring projects are sold accurately, delivered profitably, and transitioned seamlessly to ongoing support, this role must be technically savvy with a clear process of driving revenue.Areas of ResponsibilityFinancial Performance: • Achieve contribution margin targets of 51-55%+ across the consulting portfolio, • Meet or exceed annual revenue realization targets, • Deliver projects on time (95%) and on-budget (95%), • Manage project profitability through accurate scoping, resource allocation, and scope controlTeam Leadership:, • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of consultants and project leaders, • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback, • Schedule, organize, and assign projects to optimize utilization and skill development, • Build technical and consulting competencies to reduce single-point-of-failure dependenciesProject Delivery & Operations:, • Oversee all active consulting engagements, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and quality standards, • Establish and enforce standardized delivery processes, documentation requirements, and handoff procedures, • Implement effective project communication plans with timely status updates to clients and stakeholders, • Ensure smooth transitions from consulting engagements to managed services operations, • Manage risk proactively identifying scope creep, resource constraints, and technical blockers earlyBusiness Development Support:, • Partner with sales on pre-sales activities: scoping, solution design, and effort estimation, • Create, maintain, and revise project proposals including objectives, technologies, timelines, funding, and staffing, • Participate in client presentations and training sessions to drive business growth, • Identify opportunities to expand engagements and convert project work into managed services agreementsStrategic & Technical Leadership:, • Identify emerging technological trends and make recommendations to business decision-makers, • Develop repeatable consulting offerings aligned with our managed services capabilities, • Drive continuous improvement in delivery methodology, tools, and client experience, • Collaborate cross-functionally with Service Desk, Infrastructure, Endpoint, and Security teamsEducation and Experience:, • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field, higher education level preferred., • 7+ years of experience in MSP, professional services, consulting, or IT project delivery., • 7+ years in a leadership role managing technical teams., • Experience productizing services: turning project work into repeatable offerings., • Sales Pipeline Management: pre-sales experience, scoping, proposal development, client presentations., • Demonstrated track record delivering projects on time, within budget, and at scale., • Relevant certifications (PMP, ITIL, Microsoft, etc.)., • Equivalent combination of education and experience.Technical Knowledge and Competencies:, • Broad technical fluency across MSP domains: cloud (Azure), infrastructure, endpoint, security, backup/DR, networking, • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 collaboration and productivity tools, • Understanding of Cisco Meraki and general networking principles, • Knowledge of managed services delivery models and IT service management, • Strong project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements, • Excellent verbal and written communication—able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences, • Financial acumen: budgeting, cost estimation, margin analysis, resource planning, • Client engagement skills: building relationships, managing expectations, driving satisfaction, • Process orientation with strong documentation disciplineBenefits (Once Eligible):, • 401(k) with matching once eligible, • Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance once eligible (ee contribution required), • Pet Insurance, • Paid Time Off (Sick, Vacation), • 10 Paid Holidays, • Professional Development and Certification Reimbursement (with approval)
