The Engineering Manager is responsible for organizing, planning, and leading a high‑performing team of design and project engineers in the development, design, and support of new company products. This role ensures all engineering work aligns with customer specifications, internal engineering policies, and applicable government and industry standards. Description • Maintain overall technical ownership and authority for assigned engineering programs, leading the team responsible for the design and development of company products., • Facilitate strong communication and collaboration among internal and external stakeholders, championing cross‑functional teamwork and team‑based leadership practices., • Ensure all program and project goals, objectives, and deliverables are met, with a strong focus on successful execution of the company's product development process and achieving targeted on‑time delivery (OTD)., • Proactively identify, assess, and communicate project risks, goals, and technical requirements to relevant stakeholders., • Support product marketing activities by analyzing customer requirements, providing technical expertise, performing special engineering analyses, and resolving customer issues., • Serve as the technical lead for new business pursuits, including participation in RFI/RFP responses and proposal technical content., • Build, lead, and inspire a high‑performing engineering team, setting a strong leadership tone and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement., • Provide coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to engineering staff to strengthen team capabilities and culture., • Contribute to the development of short‑ and long‑term engineering department goals, ensuring alignment with overall company strategic objectives., • Identify new applications and solutions to address customer challenges while cultivating relationships with existing and prospective customers., • Drive innovation by developing proprietary technologies for commercial and military platforms through focused resources and cross‑functional collaboration., • Manage and lead the configuration management team, ensuring robust control of product documentation and engineering changes., • Lead initiatives to enhance engineering efficiency, productivity, and process effectiveness., • Travel domestically and internationally as needed to support new business opportunities, sales engagements, or customer engineering support., • Maintain an onsite presence during a standard 5‑day workweek. Profile A successful Engineering Manager should have: • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)., • Minimum of 5 years of product design/engineering experience and/or 3+ years of project or engineering management experience, including supervision of technical professionals., • Proven culture champion with a strong commitment to fostering and advocating for cross‑functional teamwork throughout the organization., • Prior experience in the aerospace and/or medical device industry is preferred., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project, and experience with 3D CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks strongly preferred)., • Knowledge or experience with Product Data Management (PDM) systems is a plus., • Knowledge or experience in configuration management is a plus., • Must be authorized to work in the United States., • Must be eligible to receive any required U.S. Government authorizations in accordance with U.S. export control regulations.
