RieLes Group seeks to foster a relationship with each employee and our business partners Position Title: Autotransfusionist/Cell Saver Technician/ Perioperative blood management technologist Location: Kansas City VA Medical Center (KCVA) Address: 4801 Linwood Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64128 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., plus 24/7 On-Call Rotation (including Federal Holidays). At least one team member must be able to respond to emergent cases within ~30 minutes of the facility. Openings: Four (4) Certified Autotransfusionists About the Opportunity The Kansas City VA Medical Center is seeking skilled and dedicated Autotransfusionists to support surgical and critical care services for our Veteran patient population. This role provides essential perfusion/autotransfusion support in a hospital operating room environment and requires strong clinical judgment, adherence to safety standards, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities • Provide on-site autotransfusion services in accordance with physician orders and VA clinical protocols, • Set up, operate, and monitor autotransfusion equipment for cardiac, vascular, orthopedic, and other surgical procedures, • Maintain equipment readiness, perform routine quality checks, and ensure required supplies are available, • Document procedures accurately in the VA Electronic Health Record (EHR) and complete required transfusion documentation, • Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to emergent cases, • Comply with all VA policies, medical staff bylaws, infection control requirements, privacy/security training, and regulatory standards Required Qualifications • Certification: Current Autotransfusionist certification (must be maintained throughout employment; annual proof required), • at least 3 years of relevant experience, • License: Full, current, and unrestricted license/certification in any U.S. State, Territory, or the District of Columbia, • Demonstrated clinical competency and technical proficiency in autotransfusion/perfusion services, • Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate in English effectively, • Must meet VA credentialing and privileging requirements prior to start (per VHA Directive 1100.20 and 1100.21), • Training & Compliance Requirements (Must be maintained annually), • BLS and ACLS Certification, • VA Privacy, HIPAA, and Information Security Training, • Continuing Education (CEU/CME) as required to maintain certification, • Required immunizations and infection control screenings (TB, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza, and OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens compliance) Additional Requirements • Must be eligible to work in the United States in accordance with federal and VA regulations, • Must not appear on the OIG List of Excluded Individuals/Entities, • Must pass background check and security clearance for access to clinical systems and VA medical facilities, • with at least two (2) reference letters from prior employers with firsthand knowledge of the candidate’s performance, to the Contracting Office for submission to the National Radiation Oncology Program (NROP) for approval as Chief Therapeutic Medical Physicist (CTMP) Please send me your most updated resume to
