The project involves Design-Build activities to develop, furnish, commission, and install a Laser Intrusion Detection System (LIDS) at 13 under river tube portals and 28 stations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Queens. The candidate must be flexible regarding work schedule and open to working nights and weekends. Scope of the Work: • Installation laser scanner for the LIDS in the Project’s thirteen (13) under river tubes and twenty-eight (28) stations at both portals and emergency exit shafts at the track level access point. Removal of existing motion detectors and sensors that the laser scanner portion of the LIDS will replace as intrusion detection. Installation of tamper-resistant card readers and internet protocol (IP) intercoms at all approaches outside of the laser scanner’s detection area, to allow MTA employees access without triggering LIDS’s alarm., • Removal of existing analog cameras at some Work Sites to be replaced with IP-cameras, to be connected to new/or existing Network Panels., • Upgrade/replace Access Control Panels (ACP) and Fiber Distribution Panels (FDP), with panels located in the tubes, emergency exit shafts, and at the End of Platform at the twenty-nine (29) stations.
