Job Description: • Serves as a mentor to staff, providing stability and leadership within the hospital, • Supports DVMs to develop an understanding and best practices of how behaviors impact revenue, • Provides DVM’s with one-on-one development supporting quarterly production, reviews production performance and coach for improvement, • Works with the hospital manager on weekly priorities and expectations, • Meets regularly with the hospital manager to review controllable costs: DVM and Support Staff payroll, inventory, • Works in collaboration with the hospital manager to build and maintain our relationships with the referring community, • Evaluates and monitors protocols for daily running/flow of the hospital, from intake to discharge, • Plays a significant part in the decision-making process and implementation of any new initiatives within their hospital, • Participates in weekly operational conference calls, practice management updates and training at all levels, • Has strong proven leadership abilities and foundation of business skills to work alongside the District Director to support the growing success of the hospital, • Has excellent mentoring, team building and communication skills, • Technically advanced in their field and possess strong emotional intelligence: Self-aware, has positive attitudes, authenticity and empathy towards others Clinical Focus: • Provides clinical, surgical and specialty responsibilities (60-80% of the time), • Examines, diagnoses, treats patients medically/surgically, • Operates medical equipment, • Client communications about care, conditions, treatments and follow up care, • Prescribes medication Requirements: • DVM license and New York State license (We can help with state licensing!), • Must be authorized to work in the USA Destination Pet LLC affords equal employment opportunities to employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, genetic information, age, disability or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law. Job Description Responsibilities include but not limited to: · Manage calendars, schedule appointments and maintain attorney’s deadlines · Monitor electronic case files. As well as organize and maintain case files · Gathers and compiles facts and relevant case information for court · Assists attorneys in preparing for court, depositions and trials. · Assist Attorneys in preparing legal documents such as pleadings and motions · Excellent writing skills. · Prepare legal documents such as rent demands, petitions, warrant requests, motions, and etc. · Perform general clerical duties such as answering phones, filing and photocopying · Reviewing court documents including stipulations of settlement · Uploading court documents to New York State Court Electronic Filing System (NYSCEF) o Petitions o Affidavits o Motions · Data entry into LTX program and BJ Murray software – Knowledge of the LTX program and/or BJ Murray software is a plus but not required. · Keeps clients informed by maintaining contact and communicating case progress. · Maintains case costs by verifying outstanding balances with an attorney, clients, and providers. · Protects the firm by keeping information confidential. · Perform additional duties as required. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities · Self-starter; able to work independently as well as part of a team · Excellent prioritization and time management skills to meet deadlines · Ability to handle electronic and hard copy documents · Strong interpersonal and organizational skills · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Great team player · High school diploma or equivalent · Paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredited program highly desired · Completion of business school as a secretary · Minimum of 2 years or relevant experience · Proficient in Excel Word and Microsoft outlook · Ability to multi-task with flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
