Job Description Systems & Network Administrator About US As L.A.'s premier performing arts destination, The Music Center convenes artists, communities and ideas with the goal of deepening the cultural lives of every resident in Los Angeles County. The non-profit performing arts organization with an annual operating budget of $80 million has three divisions: TMC Arts, TMC Ops and TMC Business Services. TMC Arts, The Music Center’s programming engine, provides year-round programming inside The Music Center’s four theatres, which include Walt Disney Concert Hall, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Ahmanson Theatre and Mark Taper Forum; on Jerry Moss Plaza; outside at Gloria Molina Grand Park, a 12-acre adjacent green space; and in schools and neighborhoods all over Los Angeles County. TMC Arts presents world-class dance with Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at The Music Center, free and low-cost public concerts and events, as well as K–12 arts learning programs, workshops, performances, interactive experiences and special events. TMC Ops manages the theatres, Jerry Moss Plaza and Gloria Molina Grand Park, which comprise $3 billion in county assets, on behalf of the County of Los Angeles. TMC Business Services includes Advancement, Human Resources, Finance, Tech Services, and Marketing and Communications. The Music Center is also home to four renowned resident companies—Center Theatre Group, Los Angeles Master Chorale, LA Opera and LA Phil. Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Technology Services (TS), the Systems & Network Administrator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and optimizing TMC’s IT infrastructure, applications, and end-user systems to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance technology operations. Collaborating with other TS team members and external vendors, the administrator provides proactive management and responsive support, including monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, implementing upgrades, and enforcing security best practices to safeguard organizational data and systems. Responsibilities • Maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and group policies, and manage accounts, identities, and access., • Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and enterprise applications, including managing virtualization platforms and cloud services., • Install, monitor, and optimize network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, wireless access points, and remote access systems to ensure reliable network performance and connectivity across TMC campus., • Maintain and support security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, patch automation, MDR, PAM, and Human Risk Management platforms., • Provide technical support for escalated issues related to systems, networks, enterprise applications, telecommunications, and end-user technologies., • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment procurement, support escalations, and maintenance following established standards and procedures., • Assist in ensuring compliance with internal policies, industry regulations (such as PCI DSS), and audit requirements. Required Skills • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field., • At least three years of hands-on experience in systems administration, network management, or infrastructure support., • Hands-on experience in resolving technical issues across systems, networks, telecommunications, and end-user technologies., • Proficiency in administering Windows OS and macOS., • Skilled in managing enterprise infrastructure, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, group policies, identity and access management, virtualization platforms, and cloud services., • Strong knowledge of network technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching., • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and threat mitigation, along with experience using preventive measures such as vulnerability management, patch automation, MDR, PAM, and Human Risk Management platforms., • Working knowledge of PBX systems, including hardware-based, VoIP, and cloud-hosted solutions with call routing, voicemail, and call center features. Desired Skills • Experience in the performing arts or nonprofit sector is preferred., • Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+/Security+, CCNA, or similar credentials are preferred., • Working knowledge of PCI DSS compliance frameworks is preferred., • Working knowledge of enterprise applications, including ERP, CRM, ticketing, fundraising, and security department systems., • Familiarity with audio/video infrastructure and related applications. Salary This full-time, exempt position offers a competitive annual salary range of $86,940.00-$105,840.00 along with a comprehensive total rewards package. Schedule This position is scheduled for 35 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work hours may be adjusted as necessary to accommodate special events and business needs, including occasional evenings and weekends. The Music Center currently operates under a hybrid work model, combining remote work with designated onsite team days. Onsite, in-person attendance is required to support live events.
