We are seeking a Vice President, Strategic Accounts (Healthcare & Pharma) who will serve as the trusted partner and strategic lead for our most valuable clients in the life sciences sector. This leader will own executive-level relationships, shape strategy, and drive measurable business growth while navigating the unique challenges and opportunities of healthcare and pharmaceutical marketing. This role is not traditional account management – it’s an opportunity to influence the direction of global healthcare brands, ensure compliance in a regulated industry, and deliver experiences that support scientific exchange, brand positioning, and meaningful HCP engagement. You’ll report to the SVP, Client Services and manage a multimillion-dollar portfolio ($20M+ annually) across healthcare and pharma clients, while mentoring a high-performing team of account leaders. What You’ll Do * Lead Client Growth in Healthcare & Pharma – Develop annual account strategies aligned with brand, medical, and commercial objectives, while considering compliance guidelines, therapeutic areas, and event calendars. * Own Executive Relationships – Serve as the senior point of contact for pharma and healthcare leaders, including brand, marketing, medical affairs, and procurement stakeholders. * Inspire & Direct Teams – Lead and mentor account teams, ensuring seamless collaboration across Creative, Production, Regulatory, and Scientific Engagement teams. * Ensure Compliance & Impact – Partner with clients to deliver events and activations that meet industry regulations (e.g., PhRMA Code, EFPIA guidelines) while driving measurable ROI. * Spot & Seize Opportunities – Identify new business opportunities across medical meetings, patient engagement, omnichannel campaigns, and brand activations. * Drive Operational Excellence – Oversee forecasting, billing, compliance documentation, and quarterly business reviews; ensure flawless delivery on time and on budget. * Build Executive-Level Trust – Lead strategic reviews, high-stakes presentations, and growth conversations with senior client stakeholders. What You Bring * Proven Healthcare & Life Sciences Experience – 10–15 years in healthcare and life sciences marketing at an agency of record or similar organization serving enterprise clients in the pharmaceutical, biotech and life sciences space. Ideal experience would also include event marketing, experiential, or congress management, with a proven ability to develop marketing programs from concepts through to execution. * Strategic Mindset – Ability to build multi-year account plans, interpret competitive landscapes, and align event strategies with commercial and scientific goals. * Leadership Excellence – Experience managing high-performing account teams and multi-million-dollar portfolios in regulated industries. * Client-Centric Approach – Passion for building trusted partnerships and delivering value-driven, compliant solutions. * Business & Financial Acumen – Skilled in forecasting, budgeting, and demonstrating ROI for complex healthcare programs. * Communication Mastery – Confident presenter to senior stakeholders, persuasive storyteller, and skilled negotiator. * Industry Savvy – Familiarity with compliance requirements (e.g., PhRMA, EFPIA) and global healthcare congress environments.
