Job Description Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Transportation Coordinator, is responsible for the direct transportation of physically limited passengers to and from their destinations. Position requires constant interaction with caregivers and community agencies. Duties/Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: -Effectively communicates with participants, families, staff and other agencies and departments. -Drives a specially equipped van to deliver physically limited persons to varied destinations. Job Description BUS DRIVER Position Summary The Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to and from predetermined pick-up locations and campus. The Bus Driver is expected to provide transportation for field trips throughout the day as well as occasionally transporting athletic teams to and from athletic competitions. This position requires excellent driving skills, the ability to manage student behavior, and a commitment to student safety. The Bus Driver plays a key role in creating a positive, safe, and supportive environment for students. This position is a part-time, non-benefit eligible position. The Bus Driver reports to the Bus Supervisor. Work Schedule Bus Drivers work on a part-time basis Monday through Friday and may require occasional evenings and weekends. Job Description Title: Driver (non-CDL) Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt Location: Avondale Global Gateway in Avondale, LA Avondale Global Gateway is a 275-acre former shipyard on Mile 108 of the Mississippi River, redeveloped into a multimodal logistics terminal with significant warehousing and storage capabilities. T. Parker Host acquired Avondale in 2018 from Huntington Ingalls Industries and has since reestablished its iconic prominence into a model of ingenuity. Essential Responsibilities and Duties: • Operates yard mule within the terminal pulling trailers transporting various cargoes to and from vessels, railcars, storage areas, • Maintains housekeeping standards as part of fire safety program or as designated by location staff/management., • Responsible for checking equipment for damage or repairs needed and reporting information to Maintenance Supervisor or Terminal Manager., • Make regular inspections of the assigned equipment., • Performs minor maintenance tasks such as fueling, adding fluids, checking tires pressures as necessary to maximize machine availability/reliability and assist maintenance personnel as required., • Complies with all procedures to ensure governmental, state, and company certification standards are met., • Performs all duties assigned by the Shift Leader(s), Operations Manager(s), and Terminal Manager to make sure port operations continue without interruption., • Ensure that safe equipment operating conditions are met before and during operation., • Works closely, as needed, with flaggers when being loaded/unloaded.
