Join our dedicated team as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) in the Texas area, where you will play a crucial role in delivering individualized occupational therapy services to pediatric patients in the comfort of their homes. At Circle of Care, we don't just provide therapy; we build lasting relationships with our patients and their families, ensuring comprehensive and compassionate care. Responsibilities: • Participate in the development and periodic revision of the plan of care, • Schedules, plans activities and provides rehabilitative services for Physical therapy, • Maintains adequate records on all patients, including summary reports. Follow agency documentation timelines as published in Employee Handbook., • Utilizes community resources and Agency personnel for proper referral, • Selects and administers diagnostic and therapeutic techniques and materials. Submit diagnostic assessments within agency timelines as published in Employee handbook., • Instructs and counsels other health team personnel and family members in methods of assisting patient in improving, correcting, and accepting his/her disabilities, • Supervise the PTA as follows: Follow guidelines for supervision as outlined by the Executive Council for Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Examiners, • Complete Supervisory Visits with patients treated by an assistant at least once every 60 days., • Attends monthly case conferences meetings and additional meetings as requested, • Participates in staff development activities and in-service education as requested, • Confirms schedule at least one week prior to the upcoming visits and adjust schedule as changes occur., • Communicate and correspond with office staff in a timely manner., • Notifies Agency of absences due to illness, emergency leave, normal vacation periods, or special professional meetings, which will all affect agreed services with the Agency., • Participates with staff, patient, and physician in discharge planning activities and completes the Physical therapy discharge summary within the designated framework of the Agency policies. Requirements: Qualifications: • Graduate of a physical therapy program accredited and approved by the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners (ECPTOTE)., • Current Texas license to practice as a Physical Therapist in good standing. This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.
