Position Summary: Foresight Bank is seeking a Senior Credit Officer to provide leadership across credit administration, loan origination system governance, portfolio risk oversight, credit approval support, and credit process improvement. This role will serve as a key partner to the Chief Credit Officer and will work closely with lending, credit, loan operations, risk, compliance, audit, IT, and vendor partners to strengthen credit discipline, improve lending workflow consistency, and support timely, sound credit decisions. Foresight Bank is investing in a new Loan Origination System (“LOS”) to modernize the way loans move through the organization. This position will be the primary business owner for the LOS and will help ensure the platform supports credit policy, approval authority, underwriting quality, portfolio monitoring, data integrity, reporting, and accountability across the lending process. During the first year, the role will place significant focus on LOS implementation, including workflow design, configuration, testing, training support, change management, vendor coordination, user adoption, go-live readiness, and post-go-live stabilization. Primary Responsibilities: • Lead credit administration, credit operations, portfolio monitoring, management reporting, and process improvement activities., • Serve as the business owner for the Bank’s LOS, including workflow governance, user access, reporting, release management, testing, controls, data integrity, vendor coordination, and enhancement prioritization., • Provide senior credit guidance to lenders, analysts, and credit administration personnel on underwriting standards, credit structure, risk identification, exception management, approval workflow, and documentation expectations., • Develop and maintain LOS dashboards, pipeline reporting, service level monitoring, exception tracking, productivity metrics, and portfolio risk reporting., • Support Board and executive management reporting by providing accurate, timely, and meaningful credit risk and portfolio performance information., • Assist with problem loan management, CECL impairment support, portfolio reviews, audit and exam requests, credit policy updates, and assigned credit initiatives., • Provide underwriting overflow support during peak volume periods or staffing constraints., • Review and approve real estate valuations when assigned., • Review, recommend, and approve credit requests within assigned authority, ensuring sound analysis, appropriate structure, policy compliance, accurate risk ratings, and clear documentation., • Provide coaching, guidance, workload coordination, and leadership support to assigned credit team members as needed. Competencies: LOS Administration: Advanced knowledge of loan origination system administration, preferably Abrigo, including workflow configuration, user security, reporting, testing, release management, change control, and vendor coordination. Project Management: Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and within established timeframes. Credit Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial credit, agricultural credit, small business lending, consumer banking credit, underwriting, loan documentation, approval workflows, portfolio risk management, credit administration practices, and real estate valuation review and approval standards. Communicator: Effective written and oral communication skills. Active listener; providing constructive feedback, coaching others toward performance improvement. Analytical Thinking: Superior analytical skills including the ability to address situations by using a logical, systematic, sequential approach. Technical: Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Knowledge of FFG subsidiary bank products, services, policies, procedures and regulations. Collaboration: Ability to work with individuals and teams at all levels of the organization, as well as externally, to research topics and solve problems. Performance Standards: Abrigo LOS implementation is managed according to approved scope, timeline, quality, and readiness expectations. System workflows, permissions, reporting, and controls are documented, tested, governed, and maintained in alignment with Bank policy and operational requirements. Management reporting, dashboards, SLA monitoring, Strategic Board of Director reporting, consumer banking credit reporting, and portfolio risk information are accurate, timely, and useful for leadership oversight. Credit operations support, consumer banking credit leadership support, problem loan assistance, CECL impairment coordination, underwriting overflow, real estate valuation review and approval, and assigned credit projects are completed accurately and within established expectations. Performance Weightings: 30% Competencies 70% Position Performance Standards and Personal Goals Qualifications: The ideal candidate is a strong credit professional who combines sound credit judgment with process discipline, technology adoption, change leadership, and the ability to work across teams. This person should be comfortable leading through influence, translating credit policy into practical workflows, improving reporting and accountability, and helping the organization adopt a more consistent and efficient lending process. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant banking, credit, lending operations, or systems experience will be considered. Five or more years of progressive experience in credit administration, commercial credit, lending operations, loan origination system administration, lending technology implementation, portfolio risk management, or credit approval. Strong understanding of commercial, agricultural, small business, and consumer credit principles, including underwriting, loan structure, documentation, repayment analysis, collateral support, risk ratings, policy compliance, and exception management. Direct LOS administration, implementation, configuration, or governance experience strongly preferred; Abrigo experience is a plus. Experience with reporting, workflow design, project management, portfolio monitoring, problem loan management, CECL support, real estate valuation review, audit or exam support, and credit team coaching preferred. Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and change leadership skills.
