Application Deadline: 11/14/2025 Address: 3 Second Street Job Family Group: Customer Shared Services The Regulatory Solutions Group provides specialized support to manage in conjunction with Capital Markets Compliance and Technology the key regulatory reporting services for BMO and its subsidiaries globally. The group consists of specialists based in the main centers for BMOs Capital Markets activities (Toronto Montreal New York London). You will contribute to the development of the regulatory framework of the this collaborative dynamic culture there are exciting opportunities to learn about all areas of capital markets and exercise your strategic thinking skills. This role will be based in New Jersey or New York reporting to the Regulatory Solutions Group Production Team supervisory organization and will be accountable for: • Understanding the critical regulatory rules and key business processes for the regulatory environment globally., • Leading projects and or workstreams through the regulatory change process, • Evaluating business processes anticipating requirements understand regulatory requirements and developing and implementing solutions, • Effectively communicating to cross-functional team members and stakeholders (business Compliance Trade Floor Supervision and Technology), • Conducting meetings and presentations (working groups Operating Committees), • Working with business and Technology to align and deliver on regulatory objectives across work streams, • Providing leadership training coaching and guidance to team members and impacted stakeholders, • Managing competing resources and priorities, • Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of activities and projects, • Directing and engaging in critical regulatory projects to implement new reporting processes or to implement changes to regulatory rules., • Working within the global Regulatory Services group to ensure that Capital Markets required reporting is coordinated consistent and complete across regions., • Working with key partners from Capital Markets Compliance Technology and regional Management to ensure that BMO meets all requirements from the regulators in a consistent organized and complete manner., • Engage in meetings with regulators as required to demonstrate or explain BMO regulatory reporting processes Knowledge and Skills Knowledge • Post Graduate University degree or equivalent experience., • 7 years experience in Capital Markets., • CFA highly desirable., • Project management certifications and / or equivalent experience highly desirable., • A strong knowledge of financial instruments ranging from derivative productsto foreign exchange., • An understanding of the Front Office financial product lifecycle: Origination Primary Market Secondary Market and the associated business activities such as Settlements Risk Management Operations & Accounting., • Strong understanding of market credit and operational risk., • Expert knowledge and expertise using Microsoft software (MS Excel MS PowerPoint MS Visio MS Word and SharePoint), • Experience managing resources in a project setting, • Expert understanding of multi-jurisdictional regulatory environment and trends., • Business acumen and financial expertise including an understanding of business practices, • Experience in roles requiring developing and implementing regulatory compliance frameworks and management oversight Skills • Leadership strategic vision and planning ability., • Excellent conceptualization presentation and communication skills, • Strong ability to influence others., • Strong ability to work across 1st and 2nd lines of defense., • People Management, • Sound judgment and strong analytical skills to identify opportunities for enterprise collaboration., • Highly developed relationship management negotiation and leadership skills., • Excellent team building skills both as a leader and as a team player., • Excellent communication skills in working with senior executives managers auditors and regulators., • Strong logic and data integration skills., • Strong critical thinking., • Ability to identify and implement appropriate risk governance and control mechanisms. Key Accountabilities Provide thought leadership in the development of sound regulatory reporting practices. • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on the banks regulatory reporting framework to ensure that appropriate governance and controls are maintained are responsive to regulatory change and are supported by sound procedures accountabilities and escalation practices., • Participate in and support global initiatives to ensure that a common standard of practices and governance is employed across the Banks processes., • Participate and represent BMO in industry forums. Manage global regulatory reporting programs • Oversee the continuous establishment and management of regulatory reporting programs fulfilling BMO and BMO subsidiary transactional reporting commitments governed by securities regulators. Participate (with Capital Markets Legal and Compliance) in the review of internal programs and changes to regulatory requirements to ensure risks are identified and processes are implemented to maintain continued compliance with regulatory rules., • Socialize and present monitoring reviews escalations and project updated where required to relevant stakeholders (e.g. Front Office Compliance Legal Technology and Operations senior forums). Continually improve and enhance the regulatory reporting program through partnership with internal stakeholders external research into best practices. Lead Regulatory Reporting Special Projects. • Lead end-to-end special projects to enhance reporting processes implement changes in response to regulatory change or to respond to identified governance remediations. Lead and/or represent Regulatory Services as a SME on key compliance projects to drive continuous improvement including analyzing problems and generating creative solutions by collaborating providing leadership as well as managing projects as required (i.e. risk assessment for new product development), • Monitor analyze and communicate opportunities for continuous improvement including recommending solutions, • Support and/or deliver change management initiatives related to framework changes processes systems or regulatory requirements., • Assist in the development and maintenance of regulatory programs Foster & Promote strong risk management culture. • Drive optimal transparency and responsiveness on relevant compliance risks., • Promote a common understanding of risk practices and risk exposures., • Support a healthy tension and mutual respect between the lines of business or Corporate Support Areas and the regulatory reporting functions., • Support appropriate governance and escalation processes required to support regulatory compliance., • Anticipate and prepare for emerging regulatory developments and promote effective relationships with regulators to ensure BMO meets current and evolving regulatory requirements., • Assist the enterprise in delivering against heightened regulatory expectations. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location skills experience education and qualifications for the role and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Groups expected target for the first year in this position. BMO Financial Groups total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives discretionary bonuses as well as other perks and rewards.
