Job DescriptionMPD Field Service Technician | $30 - $40/hr DOE This is a contract position with an opportunity to be hired full-time. MPD Field Service Technician Job Summary: The Field Service Technician will provide a high level of customer service internally and externally for product sales, maintenance, and repairs. This role requires a high level of focus and attention to detail as well as self-motivation. Schedule: 4 weeks on & 2 weeks off - subject to change • Day Shift (6 am-6 pm) and Night Shift (6 pm-6 am) are available.Travel: The Individual may be required to travel for service calls., • No fixed rotation; candidates should expect field assignments exceeding 30 days., • Requires shift work, typically 12-hour shifts, with extended hours (up to 14 hours), including shift handovers and required meetingsPhysical requirements:, • Ability to climb, lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform duties from elevated platforms., • Must be capable of wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)., • Position requires extended working hours and availability for overtime as needed. MPD Field Service Technician Top Skills Required: • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a field service technician., • Install and operate the MPD Control System on drilling rigs., • Experienced with hydraulic schematics & proficient in computer knowledge/experience., • Calibration, Maintenance, Repair, Troubleshooting Project Start-up., • Operation of MPD System components - MPD Choke Control Software., • Experienced in mechanical and electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills., • Basic understanding of setting up and operating the various MPD Applications., • Operate multi-meters and signal generators needed to set up and calibrate instrumentation., • Ensure full compliance with customer HSE policies., • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the technical aspects of MPD activities throughout the project., • Provide project support and technical guidance to clients, drilling contractors, and MPD operational personnel under the direction of the Well Site Supervisor (WSS)., • Assist in developing the End of Well Report (EOWR)., • Travel to customer sites to inspect, install, commission, test, calibrate, repair, and train customers on the safe and proper operation of customer products, • Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical)., • Install and operate the MPD Control System on rigs., • Understand some technical aspects of the MPD activities during the project, • Provide project support and technical advice to the client, drilling contractor, and MPD operational personnel via the Well Site Supervisor (WSS)., • Assist with rig-up and rig-down of equipment on each well under the guidance of the WSS., • Monitor the operation of the choke manifold and supporting equipment, and operate system components under the strict guidance of the WSS., • Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability, and yield, • Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and maintenance), • Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures, • Communicate field failures and feedback reports to the appropriate departments, • Calibration, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of MPD systems., • Project start-up and operation of MPD system components., • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with proven troubleshooting skills., • Understanding of MPD Choke Control Software., • Basic knowledge of setting up and operating various MPD applications., • Proficient in using multi-meters and signal generators for instrumentation setup and calibration., • 2 - 4 years of field experience in the oil and gas industry, including drilling rig operations., • Computer literacy with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications., • Preferred: 2–3 years of experience in MPD/UBD/PMCD operations within the oil and gas industry., • Technical Competency with MPD Operations and Equipment., • Adheres to all HSE requirements., • Working hours to be identified by the manager, including on-call hours, • Must be able to work in a factory environment, which may include, but is not limited to: high noise level, vibration, fumes, dust, and odors, • Able to communicate professionally with internal and external customers, • Non-standard work hours, 24/7 contact/availability expectations for operational support, • Comply with Global and Local QHSE policies Interested?
