Job Description CardChamp Location: Pittsburgh, PA Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Work Model: Hybrid after initial training (2 days from home, 3 days in office) Office: 900 Parish Street, 2nd Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15220 Launch a new division at CardChamp. CardChamp is a fast-growing payments technology company based in Pittsburgh, PA. We help businesses accept credit cards through modern software and point-of-sale systems, and we are building a powerful network of affiliates, referral partners, resellers, and ISV relationships that drive long-term growth. We are looking for an entrepreneurial leader to launch and build CardChamp’s college student reseller division. This is not a maintenance role. This is a ground-floor opportunity for someone who knows how to recruit, motivate, train, and lead college-age talent in sales, marketing, and business development. We are especially interested in candidates with experience at Vector Marketing / Cutco or a similar organization known for recruiting and developing college students into high-performing sales teams. The right person will help CardChamp create a scalable student-focused recruiting and reseller engine from the ground up. Initial training will include hands-on work as a Business Development Representative (BDR) so you can learn the payments industry, CardChamp’s value proposition, and how our partnerships and merchant programs are built. This role is ideal for someone who wants to combine recruiting, coaching, team leadership, and business development while building something that could become a major new growth channel for CardChamp. What you’ll do • Launch and lead CardChamp’s student reseller / campus sales division, • Build a recruiting strategy focused on college students and recent graduates interested in sales, marketing, and entrepreneurship, • Source, interview, and help hire student sales talent, campus reps, and future team leaders, • Design and improve the recruiting message, pitch, and candidate journey, • Train new recruits on CardChamp’s products, payments industry fundamentals, outreach methods, and sales process, • Coach student reps on prospecting, communication, follow-up, professionalism, and business development fundamentals, • Create a repeatable playbook for campus recruiting, onboarding, performance tracking, and team development, • Help define incentives, contests, performance expectations, and leadership development paths for student reps, • Spend time in an initial BDR capacity to learn CardChamp’s outbound process, target markets, and partner ecosystem, • Prospect and engage merchants, referral partners, resellers, associations, software companies, and strategic relationships through calls, emails, LinkedIn, text, and other outbound channels, • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline while helping shape a new recruiting-driven growth channel, • Keep CRM records clean and up to date in HubSpot, including activity, notes, and next steps, • Collaborate with leadership on campaign strategy, recruiting performance, market rollout, and long-term division structure What we’re looking for • Background at Vector Marketing / Cutco preferred, • Candidates from similar college-focused recruiting and sales organizations are also encouraged to apply, • Experience recruiting, interviewing, training, coaching, or leading college-age sales teams, • Strong understanding of how to attract and motivate students and early-career talent, • Confidence in outbound prospecting, cold outreach, and performance-driven business development, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • High level of initiative, ownership, and entrepreneurial drive, • Ability to build structure in a fast-moving environment, • Comfort leading by example and helping others improve performance, • Experience with HubSpot or another CRM is a plus, • A functioning and growing student reseller / campus recruiting program, • Consistent recruiting activity and strong candidate flow, • Effective onboarding and training of new student reps, • Measurable pipeline and revenue contribution from the division, • Clear operating processes for recruiting, coaching, and team development, • Strong CRM discipline and reporting visibility, • Continuous improvement in recruiting conversion, rep activity, and team performance Why this role is different • You will have the chance to build a new division inside CardChamp, • You will work directly with leadership and help shape strategy, structure, and growth, • You will combine recruiting, sales leadership, and business development, • You will gain deep exposure to the payments industry and partner ecosystem, • You will have real visibility and upside if you succeed in scaling this channel, • This is a rare opportunity for someone with the right background to turn past student-sales leadership experience into a long-term career-building role Compensation and benefits • Competitive base salary, • Commission, bonus, and residual opportunities, • Health, dental, and vision insurance, • Company matching 401(k), • Paid time off, • Flexible schedule, • Hybrid work after initial training, • Strong growth opportunity for the right leader Education and experience • High school diploma required, • Bachelor’s degree preferred, • Relevant experience in student recruiting, sales leadership, branch leadership, business development, or related fields preferred Equal Employment Opportunity CardChamp provides equal employment opportunity to qualified persons regardless of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, veteran status, or other categories protected by law.
