Phillips Manufacturing is seeking a dynamic Inside Sales Representative to drive sales growth and execute strategic sales and marketing initiatives. In this role, you will serve as a key contributor to revenue generation – partnering closely with outside sales, developing new business opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer experiences from lead to delivery. This role focuses on selling drywall-related products – including steel framing, beads, trim, and accessories – directly to building material distributors. This team member will be responsible for developing relationships with distributors. The ideal candidate will have a contractor sales background or experience as a contractor with sales expertise. What You'll Do: • Drive Revenue: Prospect, qualify, and close sales opportunities to meet or exceed targets, bringing urgency and focus to achieving results., • Partner with Outside Sales: Collaborate closely to support field efforts, follow up on leads, and convert opportunities into sales., • Manage Account Growth: Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and dealers while identifying new business opportunities., • Own the Order Cycle: Accurately process orders (sizes, grades, lengths, coatings) and maintain pricing integrity., • Logistics & Coordination: Partner with Production and Transportation to optimize shipments, build truckloads, and ensure timely delivery updates., • Customer Support: Resolve customer concerns confidently, handle challenges professionally, and assist with collections when needed., • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills., • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset, with a strong sense of urgency and ownership., • Ability to influence, persuade, and motivate customers and internal stakeholders toward successful outcomes., • Proven ability to actively listen, ask insightful questions, and clearly summarize next steps or solutions., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a logical, fact-based approach to decision-making., • Excellent time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment., • Ability to meet people easily, build rapport quickly, and inspire high performance., • Demonstrates confidence and professionalism when handling objections, conflict, or unexpected situations., • Encourages collaboration and supports others in achieving goals through guidance, training, and shared accountability., • Builds and leverages a strong network of internal and external contacts to drive results and uncover opportunities., • Maintains high standards for quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
