Job Description THIS POSITION IS FOR UPPERCLASSMEN ONLY. FRESHMEN ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR DEPARTMENT POSITIONS. Expected hours of work per week: Minimum of 10 hours - 15 hours per week. Work Location & Hours: The Kirk, Room 024. 8 am- 5 pm Monday - Friday or evenings/ weekends virtually. Work is to be done on campus unless otherwise directed. The office is The Kirk Room 024, but event support will be throughout the campus. SUMMARY The Leadership Communications & Strategic Partnerships Student Assistant is an internship that plays a central role in advancing the voice, visibility, and relational reach of the Brock-Barnes Center for Leadership. This intern will coordinate the Leaders in the Arena podcast and webinar series, support social media and digital communications, and capture leadership wisdom through short written stories and reflections. The role also supports coordination with strategic partners, helping strengthen relationships that extend the Center's impact across campus, alumni, and the Chattanooga region. Qualifications • Current Covenant College student in good academic standing (Mac Scholar eligible), • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Interest in leadership, storytelling, communications, or public engagement, • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently with attention to detail, • Strong organizational skills and follow-through, • Professionalism in representing the Brock-Barnes Center with partners and guests, • Ability to work independently while collaborating as part of a small team, • Commitment to the mission and values of Covenant College and the Brock-Barnes Center Preferred / Helpful Qualifications • Experience with social media, digital communications, or content creation, • Interest or experience in podcasting, webinars, or event coordination, • Comfort drafting short-form written content (stories, posts, summaries), • Experience working with external partners, alumni, or community organizations, • Familiarity with basic digital tools (Canva, Google Workspace, Zoom, etc.) Personal Attributes Sought: • Strong listening skills and curiosity about leadership stories, • Initiative and creativity in communicating ideas, • Relational maturity and discretion, • Coordinate the Leaders in the Arena podcast and webinar series (scheduling, preparation, follow-up), • Draft and post leadership content for social media and digital platforms, • Write short leadership stories capturing insights from leaders, events, and partners, • Support communication and coordination with strategic partners and collaborators ● Career & Self-Development, including • Identify areas for continual growth while pursuing and applying feedback., • Develop plans and goals for one's future career., • Professionally advocate for oneself and others., • Display curiosity;
