Job DescriptionJob Title: Packer Job Description The Packer plays a key role in preparing products for shipment by accurately packing items, visually inspecting them for quality, and recording information using basic computer systems. This position supports smooth warehouse and manufacturing operations by ensuring orders are complete, correctly labeled, and ready for on-time delivery. Responsibilities • Pack products accurately and efficiently according to established procedures and order requirements., • Perform visual inspections of products to identify defects, damage, or inconsistencies before packing., • Use computer systems to input and update order information, labels, and packing records., • Prepare items for shipping, including labeling, sealing, and organizing packages for dispatch., • Follow picking and packing instructions to ensure the correct items and quantities are selected for each order., • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency., • Handle general labor tasks related to packing, shipping, and material handling as needed., • Follow all workplace safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.Essential Skills, • Experience in general labor roles, particularly in packing or warehouse environments., • Ability to perform accurate visual inspections to identify product defects or issues., • Basic computer literacy to enter data, update records, and print labels., • Prior manufacturing experience supporting production, packing, or shipping activities., • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with strong attention to detail., • Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced picking and packing environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Previous experience in shipping and packing operations., • Familiarity with basic warehouse processes such as order picking and staging., • Strong organizational skills and a focus on accuracy and quality., • Willingness to perform a variety of general labor tasks as needed.Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Torrance, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
