This travel nursing job offers professional growth in a modern clinical setting while making a positive impact on patient care.\n \n\nPCU Nursing Job Details\n\n • Location: Dallas, TX 75243 (North Dallas – vibrant healthcare community with excellent restaurants, shopping, and parks)\n, • Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract\n, • Start Date: December 16, 2025\n, • End Date: March 17, 2026\n, • Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Heart Building/Pavilion I, 3S/PCU Floor\n, • Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)\n, • Hours per Week: 36\n, • Unit Size: 24 beds\n, • Patient Ratio: 1:3\n, • Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule\n, • Dress Code: Royal Blue Scrubs\n, • EMR: Meditech\n, • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1360 - $1460\n\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n\n, • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state\n, • BLS and ACLS certifications required\n, • Minimum 1 year of recent PCU, step-down, or acute care RN experience\n, • Proficiency with cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Cardene, Cardizem)\n, • Strong accountability and effective communication skills\n, • Ability to float to Med-Surg, Telemetry, and Orthopedic units as needed\n, • Experience with Meditech EMR preferred\n\n\nPCU Nurse Responsibilities\n\n, • Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to PCU patients, including those recovering from cardiac and vascular surgeries\n, • Monitor and manage cardiac drips and telemetry equipment\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes\n, • Assist with bedside procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, and PICC insertions\n, • Care for patients post-CABG, AVR/MVR, aortic root repairs, LVAD, immediate post-VATS (chest tubes), and post-vascular surgeries\n, • Support patients pre- and post-cath lab and electrophysiology (EP) procedures (pacemaker/AICD, heart caths, PCIs, TAVR)\n, • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with unit policies and healthcare guidelines\n Planet Healthcare Job ID #438482.
