Job Description Position Overview Project H.O.P.E., Inc. is seeking a mission-driven, early-career physician to serve as our Chief Medical Officer (CMO), a unique opportunity for a recent residency graduate who is passionate about health equity, integrated care, and taking on a meaningful leadership role early in their career. The CMO functions as the clinical leader of our organization, overseeing the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care to underserved populations. We are looking for a physician who is eager to learn, grow, and lead with the support of an experienced team and a strong organizational mission. Key Responsibilities • Lead all clinical and quality initiatives, ensuring excellence in care delivery., • Supervise and develop medical, mental health, and support staff., • Oversee credentialing, privileging, peer review, and compliance with NJ and federal regulations., • Direct the Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement (QA/QI) program., • Establish, implement, and monitor standards related to risk management, infection control, medication safety, and regulatory readiness., • Provide strategic input on operational protocols, workforce planning, and budgeting., • Serve as a liaison to hospitals, public health partners, and professional societies., • Oversee EHR adoption, usage, and optimization in alignment with compliance requirements., • Prepare regular clinical reports for the Board of Directors and internal stakeholders., • ✅ Medical Degree from an accredited institution, • ✅ MD or DO, Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, • ✅ Valid DEA and CDS License, BLS certification, • ✅ Unrestricted license to practice medicine in New Jersey, • ✅ Minimum 3 years of clinical experience, • ✅ Strong background in integrated care, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance, • ✅ Prior experience in a community health center or FQHC preferred, • ✅ Familiarity with NJ Ambulatory Care standards and HRSA performance metrics, • ✅ Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR); experience with INTERGY preferred, • ✅ Excellent communication, mentoring, and team-building skills, • Valid NJ Driver’s License, • Availability via phone/email during and after business hours, • Annual Salary: $250,000 - $280,000 (based on experience and qualifications), • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, • Benefits Include:, • Health, dental, and vision insurance, • 403 (b) Retirement plan, • Life Insurance, • Short & Long Term Disability Insurance, • Generous paid time off (PTO), • Paid CME time, • Malpractice insurance At Project H.O.P.E., Inc., you won’t just lead; You’ll serve.
