Job Description Faculty Occupational Therapy School of Health Sciences St. Edward's University, a nationally ranked, independent Catholic university and Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure track position as (open rank) in the Department of Occupational Therapy, beginning August/2026 St. Edward's is characterized by its commitment to the Holy Cross educational mission of educating the hearts and minds of a diverse student body deeply committed to social justice. As a developing program, there will be significant focus on curriculum development in addition to teaching, scholarship, service, and mentorship. For consideration, applicants will need to have • An earned research doctorate (e.g., PhD, ScD, EdD) or a post-professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) degree awarded by a USDE accredited institution with a demonstrated record of scholarly publications and grant activity., • Initial certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and eligibility for Occupational Therapy licensure in, • A minimum of [Number] years of experience as a licensed Occupational, • Evidence of an established or emerging research agenda with a clear potential for securing external grant funding., • Prior experience teaching graduate-level courses in a Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program., • Expertise in a specialized area of practice that aligns with program needs (e.g., neuroscience, pediatrics, mental health). Teaching and Advising • Maintain a pedagogical approach that is active, reflective, and transformative, preparing students to be critical thinkers and compassionate practitioners., • Provide robust academic and professional advising, guiding students through clinical reasoning development and self-reflective practice., • Establish, develop, and sustain a focused and productive scholarship, • Generate high-quality peer-reviewed publications and present scholarship at national and international conferences., • Integrate OTD students into the scholarly process, serving as a primary mentor for student-led research and dissemination. Service and Professional Engagement • Serve effectively on program, school, and university committees, contributing to accreditation (ACOTE) compliance and overall program growth., • Provide leadership and advocacy for the program's commitment to social and occupational justice within the university and surrounding community., • Participate in interprofessional collaborative opportunities that advance the program's mission of serving the community., • Other duties as assigned The University offers an excellent TOTAL REWARDS package!
