Job DescriptionJob Title: HVAC Mechanic – Commercial Service TechnicianOverview We’re looking for a dedicated Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join a fast‑growing team focused on high‑quality service and strong customer relationships. In this role, you’ll work across various commercial sites—including offices, retail locations, and business facilities—to install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems. You’ll use blueprints, schematics, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues and keep systems running at peak performance. Compensation $28–$40 per hour Pay is based on experience, certifications, and skill level. Key Responsibilities • Perform routine inspections and operational tests on commercial HVAC systems, • Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions, • Repair or replace defective components, • Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure long‑term system efficiency, • Ensure systems comply with environmental, safety, and energy‑efficiency standards, • Accurately document service work and communicate findings clearlyRequired Skills & Experience, • 1–5 years of experience in HVAC service (commercial or residential), • OSHA 10 and EPA certifications, • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, • Strong ability in repair work, electrical troubleshooting, and preventative maintenancePreferred Qualifications, • Prior experience servicing commercial HVAC units, • Knowledge of boiler systems, • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, • Ability to work independently and manage service schedulesWhat We Offer, • Car allowance and company‑provided uniforms, • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, • 401(k) with company match, • Power tools provided, • Reimbursement for trainings, classes, and certifications, • Full PPE provided (excluding work boots), • Eligibility for a company vehicle after fully onboarded We’re a team of 23 and continuing to grow, offering a culture of independence, responsibility, and trust. Technicians travel independently to job sites within a 30‑mile radius of our Rochester, NY headquarters. Typical work hours are 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM with a 30‑minute lunch break. Job size and complexity vary based on client needs. Technicians use ladders, cranes, lifts, refrigerants, diagnostic tools, and specialized HVAC equipment. The on‑call rotation is one full week (Monday–Sunday) every 5–6 weeks, with additional compensation.Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Rochester, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
