Job Description Date posted: February 13, 2026 Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour Job description: Journeyman Plumber – Wichita, KS Position Summary The Full-Time Journeyman Plumber is responsible for performing plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance work on residential and commercial construction and service projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is punctual, reliable, and consistent in showing up prepared and on time each day. Experience in new construction, remodeling, and service work is required. Key Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including water distribution, drainage, gas piping, and water heaters. Diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure all work meets project specifications. Operate company tools, vehicles, and equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized jobsite. Job Requirements & Qualifications. • Valid Journeyman Plumbing Certificate issued by the Wichita Metro Area Building & Construction Department., • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record., • Minimum of 2–5 years of professional plumbing experience., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and construction documents., • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in trenches, crawlspaces, attics, and active construction environments, • Reliability and attendance are critical; consistent tardiness or absenteeism is not acceptable. Experience & Technical Skills Experience working on new construction, remodeling, and service plumbing projects. Experience operating construction equipment including backhoes and skid steers. Experience driving company vehicles with trailers, including proper loading and transport of equipment. Ability to assist with training plumbing apprentices through hands-on instruction while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and general trade knowledge. Must be adaptable and willing to perform various tasks that arise on construction projects. Work Schedule & Compensation Schedule: Full-time; Monday–Friday with occasional overtime, weekends, or emergency work. Compensation: Competitive journeyman-level pay based on experience, technical ability, and reliability. Benefits: Paid time off, uniform shirts, and company vehicle.
