Job Description Journeyman Plumber – Residential Remodeling & New Construction Location: Greater Milwaukee Area (Ideally located within 30 minutes of Greendale, WI. Projects may extend into Southeast Wisconsin.) Company: Cast & Copper Plumbing, a division of J&J Contractors I LLC Employment Type: Full-Time, Year-Round Company Overview Cast & Copper Plumbing is the residential plumbing division of J&J Contractors I LLC, providing high-quality plumbing services for residential remodeling and new construction. We operate in a structured, project-driven environment alongside experienced Project Managers and trade partners. Our focus is craftsmanship, professionalism, and executing work according to plan—doing the job right the first time with no shortcuts. We are seeking a licensed Wisconsin Journeyman Plumber to support residential remodeling and new construction projects. Journeyman Restricted plumbers are encouraged to apply. Primary Purpose The Journeyman Plumber is responsible for installing, modifying, and completing residential plumbing systems for remodeling and new construction projects. This role works closely with Project Managers and other trades to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Wisconsin plumbing code, approved plans, and company standards. This is a project-based production role — not emergency service and not on-call. What You Will Do Residential Remodeling & New Construction Plumbing • Perform plumbing rough-ins, trim-outs, and final connections for residential remodels, additions, and new homes, • Install water supply, drain, waste, and vent (DWV) systems per plans and specifications, • Modify, relocate, or replace existing plumbing systems during renovations, • Install fixtures, water heaters, and related plumbing components, • Read and interpret plans, scopes of work, and job documentation, • Ensure all installations meet applicable plumbing codes and local inspection requirements Jobsite, Safety & Teamwork • Coordinate daily work with Project Managers and other trades to maintain schedules, • Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites—especially in occupied homes, • Protect customer property including flooring, walls, cabinetry, and finished surfaces, • Load and unload materials; maintain tools, equipment, and work areas, • Mentor apprentices or newer team members when appropriate Schedule • Full-time, year-round work, • Monday–Friday daytime schedule, • No standard on-call rotation Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Strong understanding of residential plumbing systems for remodeling and new construction, • Ability to work independently within a structured project environment, • Strong attention to detail and plan-driven execution, • Clear communication with Project Managers, teammates, and inspectors, • Pride in workmanship and adherence to company standards Qualifications • Valid Wisconsin Journeyman Plumber license (required), • Journeyman Restricted plumbers encouraged to apply, • Minimum 3 years of experience as a licensed Journeyman Plumber, • Strong working knowledge of residential plumbing codes, • Ideally located within 30 minutes of Greendale, WI, • Must have own hand tools, • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record, • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical jobsite workCompany DescriptionSince 1983, our family-owned business has been transforming people’s homes and their lives.
