Why Work With Us? • Room for growth in a stable, well-established company, • Full-time benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k), • Work with a skilled and professional team, • Supportive and safety-first environment Key Responsibilities: • Know state and local plumbing regulations., • Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvents, caulking or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment., • Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks., • Review blueprints and building codes and specifications to determine work details and procedures., • Perform complex calculations and planning for special or large jobs, including daily scope of work., • Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, and fixtures in structures using measuring instruments such as rules and levels., • Study building plans and inspect structures to assess material and equipment needs, establish the sequence of pipe installations, and plan installation around obstructions such as electrical wiring., • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles, using hand and power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, and pipe-bending machines., • Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers and water heaters and fixtures such as sinks and toilets using hand and power tools., • Cut opening structures to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings using hand and power tools., • Hang steel supports from ceiling joists to hold pipes in place., • Install vent, storm, sanitary, gas, and water piping systems and extend piping to connect fixtures and plumbing to those systems., • Lead and train small crews of Apprentices and Helpers as required or assigned., • Coordinate with Field Foreman on needed materials and supplies., • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Must have valid Journeyman License, • Kentucky Journeyman License is a plus., • OSHA 10 or 30 Certification, • Have a general understanding of hand tools (tape measure, pipe wrenches, hammers, screw drivers, etc.)., • Be able and willing to handle power tools in a safe manner., • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a professional manner at all levels inside and outside the company., • Must have the ability to work with, train, and lead Apprentices and Helper level staff members., • Operate in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements (wear proper PPE, keep worksite organized, safe, and free of hazards)., • For safety reasons, basic English proficiency is required., • A pre-employment drug screen is required., • You must have a valid driver's license. Preferred Skills: • Experience with medical gas systems (if applicable), • Experience working on multi-phase, large-scale construction projects.
