Job Description Job Title: Plumber Job Description A Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing high-quality repairs, and ensuring all work meets local plumbing codes and safety standards. The ideal candidate is skilled, reliable, and able to communicate clearly with customers and team members. Responsibilities • Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, drainage systems, and water supply lines., • Diagnose plumbing issues and provide effective repair solutions., • Install and service water heaters, toilets, sinks, faucets, and other fixtures., • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and building plans., • Perform leak detection, pressure testing, and system inspections., • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national plumbing codes., • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment., • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and materials., • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently., • Experience with pipe installation, soldering, and fixture repair., • Understanding of building codes and safety regulations., • Good communication skills., • Physical ability to lift, bend, and work in tight spaces., • Preferred experience as an Apprentice close to a Journeyman/Journeyman., • Experience in residential and/or commercial plumbing. This opportunity provides a path to permanent employment after 520 hours of service. Working in a hospital environment offers a unique and rewarding experience. Work Environment The position requires availability during holidays and weekends as needed, with requests for days off to be submitted three weeks in advance. The work environment is a hospital setting, requiring adherence to facility protocols and standards, while providing a clean and organized space to perform your duties. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bedford, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
