Tiny Green Trees Nature Based Childcare Center Forest School in Milwaukee, WI is looking to hire one Full Time preschool teacher to join our 32 person strong team. We are centrally located in Milwaukee on 921 N 49th St. next to Doyne Park. Our ideal candidate is a passionate, self-starter, motivated, enthusiastic, coachable, nature loving passionate person. As a preschool teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping young minds, fostering creativity, and providing a positive learning environment for children ages 0-5 years old. Duties Essential Job Functions • Comply with all DCF rules and regulations for ECE as well as NAC accreditation and ECO Friendly endorsement requirements, • Supervise children in an indoor “controlled” and outdoor “wild” environment using ARISE to mitigate risks and hazards, • Keep accurate records of children’s attendance while in the center and off site in the “beyond space.” Must be able to put a face to name for reporting and tracking and use sight and sound for proper supervision., • Guide,coach, and support other teachers in daily and seasonal rhythms, as well as DCF rules and regulation, • Apply professional social skills (verbally and in written form) when communicating with children, parents, administrators and other staff members, • Visually observe, track and report out on each child's growth and development through portfolio documentation and twice a year parent teacher conferences., • Develop, and maintain record keeping systems to monitor and support behavior management, interventions, and child progress, • Use independent judgment and discretion in setting daily priorities to complete tasks, • Learn, plan and implement nature-based seasonal curriculum that supports the development of all children in classroom, • Work outside in most weather conditions, • Traverse a variety of landscape outdoors and flights of stairs indoors, • Have full range of motion of arms and legs and be able to properly position self in order to care and protect and supervise children, • Safely move and transport children weighing up to 50 pounds, • Prepare organic meals and snacks in the center. Detect temperatures and flavors of served food, • Successfully complete 20 hours of continuing education per year, • Understanding and ability to learn how to use BrightWheel and Homebase applications on personal device., • Attend monthly staff meetings, • Maintain excellent attendance and dependability per our attendance policy, • Attend and participate in a minimum of 2 of the 4 family gatherings each year, • Ensures maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of the physical facility and equipment. Monitors and requests supplies and services, as appropriate, • Demonstrate a positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fast paced environment, • Express and demonstrate a deep love for children and a strong commitment to education and a child safety.
