ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The Training Manager is responsible for administration, development, and facilitation of LAUNCH’s FAA approved maintenance training program and training records. The Training Manager conducts new hire and recurring training for LAUNCH’s repair station and acts as a designated trainer for LAUNCH repair station customers. The Training Manager works closely with the LAUNCH repair station leaders, on-site coordinators, and remote LAUNCH Teams Administrator to ensure an adequate level of properly trained, qualified, and authorized Team Members are available to support maintenance activities, including maintaining the audit records of completed training. Additional duties may include: • Responsible for the quality and administration of the Training Management System, including the Maintenance Training Program Manual (TPM), • Ensures the quality, implementation, and courseware development for Maintenance Technical Training including pathway programs for the repair station IAB Center of Excellence, • Reviews and monitors all Maintenance Technical Training for quality, compliance, and adherence to company operating procedures and regulatory requirements, • Receive training requests from various departments and ensure training is scheduled in a timely manner, • Supporting data entry requirements for Empower MX or other digital task card and signature authorizations, • Creating monthly and weekly training calendars, • Conducting in-person and virtual training for remote LAUNCH repair station projects, • Facilitate “train the trainer” programs for customers when applicable, • Develops and maintains the quality of technical course content and presentations, including On-the-Job Training (OJT) program, • Evaluates Maintenance Training Instructors, including equipment and courseware, • Responsible for the annual training budget and budget management KNOWLEDDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES • Maintain LAUNCH repair station compliance with FAA approved repair station TPM, • Self-starting, entrepreneurial, goal-oriented individual, • Multitasking and organizational skills, • Ability to build rapport with both internal Team Members, vendors, government agencies and customers, • Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, • Ability to travel 30% of the time, • Ability to work collaboratively and rely on others inside and outside of the company to meet objectives, • Ability to maintain high-quality work and meet strict deadlines, • Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft® Word, Excel and PowerPoint, • Must be able to self-supervise and maintain the highest professional communication and appearance standards, • Ability to adhere to LAUNCH’s Mission and Values MINIMUM EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS • Previous training program management and course development experience with emphasis on 14CFR145 and 121 required, • Previous instructor experience in repair station or airline environment, • 5-10 years of maintenance training experience or combination of maintenance training experience and hands on maintenance experience, • Proficient with computer software (Microsoft Office products), course and LMS software, • Must hold a current, valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license with no history of infractions, • 4-year degree preferred, • Must have a valid driver’s license, • Certification in instruction or adult education preferred, • Local candidate in the Wichita, KS KEY RELATIONSHIPS • LAUNCH Teams Wichita repair station support, technical and frontline leader staff, • LAUNCH repair station technical staff (maintenance and inspection), • LAUNCH corporate Team Members, • Repair station customer training managers and technical training departments, • LAUNCH 8LWR091D and Teams Customer auditors and inspectors, • FAA and foreign government regulatory agency inspectors, • LAUNCH LMS & content providers EXPECTATIONS • Regular attendance and punctuality, • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice, • Able to maintain a professional appearance, • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including LAUNCH 24/7 Safety Hotline, • Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls, • Uphold LAUNCH safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities EQUIPMENT • Computer and other office equipment, • Various Precision Measurement Equipment (PME), • Operate lift trucks, snorkel lift, boom lift and tractor after attending training, • Reflective safety vest and ear protection WORK ENVIORNMENT • Classroom environment including outdoors on the aircraft ramp and/or hangar, • Travel to support MRO training requirements for maintenance visits and Repair Station Work Away Projects, • Flexible work schedule to support any unanticipated training needs
