Bosch Building Technologies Integrator Business The regional system integration business called Bosch Building Technologies offers solutions and customized services for building security, energy efficiency, and building automation for commercial buildings and infrastructure projects Bosch started its Integrator Business in North America through the acquisition of Climatec in 2015. Climatec expanded Bosch’s role as a comprehensive supplier of energy, building automation and security solutions. Climatec is recognized in the building industry as an independent single-source integrator of critical building systems including energy services, building automation and security & life safety in the U.S. market. The company provides consulting, planning, implementation and 24/7 remote management. Climatec is active in several market segments and industries including data centers, commercial real estate buildings, and federal, state, and local government. Utilizing the strengths of both companies, Bosch offers its customers a complete portfolio of networked and efficient energy, building automation and security solutions. Job Summary: The Project Manager leads projects from pre-booking through closeout, overseeing scope, schedules, budgets, risk management, and customer communication to ensure successful delivery. This role coordinates internal teams and subcontractors, manages forecasting and billing, controls change orders, and drives quality execution while maintaining strong client relationships and financial performance. Responsibilities: Project Initiation (pre-booking) • Identify the purpose, scope and goals of the project, • Identify the key objectives and deliverables, • Identify necessary stakeholders and team members, • Identify timeframe/schedule and cost estimates, • Review proposal language and identify risks/unknowns Project Planning (post-booking) • Communicate with customer within 24 hours of job booking review scope and manage expectations, • Develop baseline project schedule, • Develop schedule of values and payment schedule, • Document agreed upon schedules via email, • Clearly define scope and ensure team understands, • Secure resources needed to carry out work (internal workers and subcontractors), • Train team to carry out scope, • Order material and track lead times, • Project kick-off meeting, • Site mobilization and startup, • Achieve deliverable milestones, • Develop team member skills and ensure safe field activities, • Track site activities and ensure timelines are met, • Update project schedule as-needed, • Conduct regular project status meetings with customer, • Ensure subcontractors are executing their scope, • Submit invoices to customers to prevent underbilling Project Monitoring/Controlling • Evaluate costs and control deviation, • Monitor installation activities and ensure quality work is being performed, • Control scope creep and track change orders in a timely manner, • Manage underbillings and submit invoices based on payment schedule, • Conduct regular site visits to ensure subcontractors and field work is being executed properly, • Closely monitor budget/forecasting and proactively notify management of any foreseeable challenges Project Closeout • Complete all commissioning/testing and punch lists, • Provide all documented deliverables to customer (i.e., warranty documents, As-Builts, etc), • Submit final billings to customer, • Coordinate TSA turnover to sales team, • Conduct Lessons Learned meeting with sales and PSG team to review project financials Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: • Managing project scope, schedule, budget, • An understanding of basic computer operating systems., • An ability to work across departments to ensure successful project execution, • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal), • Managing diverse populations, including internal employees and external stakeholders, • An ability to understand empathetically the issues and perceptions others have and to creatively and successfully work through these issues to achieve a successful outcome and customer and employee satisfaction. Preferred Qualifications: • Post-secondary degree (Bachelors, Masters, etc) in relevant field, • Military or technical trade school background, • Fiscal management (including budgeting, forecasting, procurement), • Security, fire alarm, construction industry experience, • Experience with scheduling, project reporting, risk management, • NICET 1 Certification recommended for all Fire PMs within first 6-12 months of employment, • PMP Certification highly preferred PHYSICAL DEMANDS: In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. • Must be able to effectively communicate in English, (ie see, hear, speak and write clearly) in order to communicate with colleagues and/or customers, • Manual dexterity required for occasional reaching, lifting of light office objects, and operating office equipment, • Sitting, standing, walking in office environments and construction sites, • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over 1.8m (6 feet) WORKING CONDITIONS: In general, the following conditions of the work environment are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. • The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted and ventilated. Noise levels are considered low to moderate, • Will be required to be on site with customers or contractors, with or without BBT colleagues to manage the expectations and deliverables.
