We are working with a rapidly growing Plaintiffs’ Elder Abuse & Personal Injury law firm, headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, but with offices throughout California, in Century City, Sacramento, Bakersfield, Oakland, Oxnard, Riverside, San Bernardino, Santa Rosa, San Jose, Anaheim, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Ana, Palmdale, Stockton, Victorville, Palm Springs, Escondido, Redding, Fresno, and Modesto. The firm is currently seeking an experienced Elder Abuse & Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team, preferably in its Century City office, but permissibly, in any of its offices. The successful candidate must have five or more (5+) years of Elder Abuse law firm experience. Both plaintiff and defense side attorneys will be considered. The firm will train a great attorney candidate, as necessary, in personal injury law. The attorney selected for the role must be able to travel throughout all of California to attend court hearings and depositions, conduct arbitrations and mediations, and engage in trial litigation and other litigation activity. The expected salary for the position is $200,000 - $270,000/yr. depending upon attorney qualifications, skills, and experience, supplemented by per-case bonuses. The position is hybrid, requiring four days in office and one remote day. An extremely highly qualified candidate may be permitted to work entirely remotely. RESPONSIBILITIES • Conducting all necessary and desirable legal research, • Drafting legal documents, including pleadings; discovery; discovery responses; legal memoranda; motions and responses thereto, with accompanying memoranda of law; mediation briefs; pre-trial memoranda; trial briefs; motions in limine; other trial motions and documents; post-trial motions; and appeals (as necessary)., • Making all necessary and desirable court filings, • Conducting, defending, and attending depositions, • Interviewing, retaining, deposing, and preparing experts, as necessary, • Setting up motions, • Engaging in motion practice, • Attending and arguing at motion hearings, • Making all required, necessary, and desirable court appearances, • Participating in arbitrations and mediations, • Preparing assiduously for trial, • Serving as trial counsel, • Adhering strictly to deadlines, • Communicating regularly with clients on the status of their matters, • Working collaboratively and effectively with team members QUALIFICATIONS • Admission to the State Bar of California., • A strong work ethic, • Attention to detail, • Ability to work effectively within a team environment, • Passion for representing injured clients against insurance companies, • Previous experience in personal injury litigation cases, • Excellent organizational and communication skills, • Excellent time management skills, • Ability to meet strict deadlines, while multi-tasking and working at a fast pace, • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, • Ability effectively to lead all team members within assigned departments, • Commitment to providing clients with the highest level of service, • Desire to contribute to the firm, as a whole, • Passion for fighting on behalf of individuals against large firms and companies, • Strong desire to help those who cannot help themselves OTHER DETAILS Salary: $200,000 - $270,000/yr., depending upon attorney qualifications, skills, and experience, plus per-case bonuses Benefits: • Insurance: Medical, Dental, Vision, • 401k, • PTO and sick days, • Paid holidays Additional advantages: • Opportunity to grow a lasting, meaningful career.
