Job DescriptionSalary: $18-$22 The HR Assistant supports the Human Resources Director in delivering thoughtful, efficient HR services that help employees and the organization thrive. This role contributes to a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding,benefitsadministration, leave coordination, employee relations, and record-keeping. By serving as a resource for employees and management, the HR Assistant playsan important rolein fostering a positive and well-organized workplace. Key Responsibilities • Assistwith the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, schedulingand conducting screener calls andinterviews, andconducting reference checks., • Support onboarding processes by preparing new-hire paperwork, coordinating orientationsessionsand training, and ensuring completion of all required documentation., • Maintaining ULS electronic systems to match currentpersonnel status., • Maintain and update job descriptions, as needed., • Assistemployees with enrollment inbenefits programs andhandlingroutine benefits inquiries., • Maintainand performperiodicaudits of HR files. Ensuringaccurateand up-to-date employee records, both electronic and physical, ensuring data confidentiality., • Processpersonnelactions, such as new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and legal requirements., • Help ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws and company policies., • Act as a first point of contact for HR-related inquiries, directing employees to theappropriate resourcesor personnel as needed., • Assistswith planning and execution ofspecial eventssuch as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations, • Assistinmaintainingcommunication channels for sharing HR information, such as newsletters,emails, etc., • Assistin preparing HR documentation and updating HR policies as directed by the HR Director., • Assistwith scheduling employee travel arrangements as needed., • Other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy., • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail., • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software., • Proficient with or the ability toquicklyhuman resource informationsystem(HRIS), and similar computer applications. Education and Experience: • Associates degree in related fieldrequired., • At least 2 years of direct HR experience preferred. Equivalent, related education may be substituted for experience.Certifications(SHRM-CP and HRCI)mayalso be considered., • Prior related office experience preferred. Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer., • Must be able tolift upto 15-20 pounds at times., • In person at the Salt Lake Office minimum one day per week., • Must have a reliable mode of transportation., • Some travelrequired. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Job Factors/Physical Requirement • Must be able to travel to meetings and court proceedings as needed., • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
