Job Summary: The OEM Technical Sales Specialist is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of OEM accounts within a multi-state territory, with occasional accounts outside the region. This role focuses on account management, contract compliance, and driving revenue growth through product expansion and new business development. Success requires strong technical expertise and an engineering mindset to deliver customized solutions while meeting sales KPIs. The position balances account maintenance (50%), expansion within existing accounts (30%), and new logo acquisition (20%). Operating primarily as an individual contributor, the specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams—including engineering, supply chain, and operations—to ensure customer satisfaction and develop innovative solutions. Additional responsibilities include leveraging data analytics for performance monitoring, maintaining accurate CRM records, and representing the company at industry events and trade shows. Extensive travel (40–60%) within the territory is expected. Responsibilities Include: • Manage a portfolio of OEM accounts end-to-end, including maintaining existing business, ensuring contract adherence, providing input on contracts and pricing, customer satisfaction, and proactive issue resolution., • Drive growth within accounts through product expansion, new business development, gross margin optimization via value-based selling, cost management, and product mix strategies., • Partner closely with engineering, supply chain, manufacturers, and operations teams to drive product development, operational alignment, and innovative solutions to ensure conformance to customer requirements and create stickiness., • Engage at multiple levels within customer organizations, including corporate and purchasing stakeholders as well as technical and operations teams of engineers., • Work closely with customer service teams to build relationships, support retention efforts, ensure high customer satisfaction, and actively engage in issue resolution., • Collaborate with product category experts to drive expansion and cross-selling of all product categories within customer accounts and across key verticals., • Identify, pursue, and close new logo OEM opportunities within and potentially beyond the territory, focusing on high-potential accounts that align with profitability goals., • Adhere to sales KPIs established by the OEM Regional Sales Manager, including metrics for revenue, margin, and activity., • Operate collaboratively as part of the broader sales team, sharing expertise on projects and allowing other sellers to leverage specialized knowledge as needed., • Leverage data analytics and systems to interpret real-time information, monitor performance metrics (including profitability indicators), and adapt strategies dynamically to changing market and customer needs., • Ensure effective tracking, monitoring, management, and leadership of HubSpot utilization to maintain accurate pipelines, activity tracking, and data integrity., • Provide input to sales leadership on holistic customer needs, new product launches, pricing, and execution tactics., • Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer feedback; prepare sales reports and forecasts for leadership, with emphasis on revenue and margin performance., • Represent Sparks Mol at industry events, trade shows, and customer visits, with extensive travel (expected 40-60%) primarily within the multi-state territory., • Respect, protect, support, company culture., • Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations., • Always represent Belt Power in a professional manner, • Performs other duties as assigned.Requirements:, • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field; or relevant experience., • Minimum of 3 years of technical sales or account management experience, preferably in industrial distribution, material handling, conveyor systems, or manufacturing., • Proven track record of managing OEM accounts, achieving revenue growth targets, and driving margin expansion., • Strong technical knowledge of conveyor system components, including belting, motorized drives, modular belting, and related equipment, coupled with an engineering mindset and industry experience., • Technical sales acumen, with the ability to communicate effectively with corporate, purchasing, technical, and operations stakeholders., • Experience as a "hunter" in acquiring new logo accounts and developing business opportunities within existing ones., • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and exert influence (e.g., with customer service, engineering, supply chain, operations, and product experts) while viewing opportunities through a holistic lens., • Experience using a CRM system (HubSpot strongly preferred)., • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders, engage customers at all levels, and mentor junior team members., • Experience with sales analytics tools, forecasting software, and Microsoft Office., • Proficiency in HubSpot CRM., • Experience across multiple conveyor component product categories., • Familiarity with food processing, packaging, logistics, or other key industries served by Sparks Mol., • Ability and desire to quickly learn new processes and systems., • Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues., • Reliability, integrity, accuracy, teamwork, positive attitude, organized, intelligent, proactive, and adaptable. The OEM Technical Sales Specialist may lift and / or move up to 50 pounds and will require manual dexterity and strength in arms and feet to manipulate equipment controls, tools, and other items used to make adjustments and / or minor maintenance. Will use hands, arms, back, and shoulders, to handle installs, position, move items, and manipulate other objects. Could be in a sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting position for long periods of time. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the OEM Technical Sales Specialist will be regularly exposed to working near moving and mechanical parts and equipment. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position in office, shop, and at the customer site. Typical workdays and hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. Frequent overnight travel, overtime hours, and weekend work may be required.
