Job Description Position Overview The Outside Sales Representative develops and manages customer relationships, driving the sale of MJEC’s HVAC and mechanical equipment lines. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, supporting consulting engineers and contractors, and ensuring that MJEC continues to be a trusted technical resource and partner in the commercial HVAC market. The ideal candidate is technically knowledgeable, relationship-driven, and motivated to deliver creative solutions that help customers succeed. Key Responsibilities • Promote and sell MJEC’s HVAC products and solutions to engineers, contractors, and end users within the assigned territory., • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through regular visits, presentations, and follow-ups., • Identify project opportunities early in the design phase and influence equipment selection through value engineering and technical expertise., • Provide accurate project quotations and proposals in coordination with inside sales and estimating teams., • Collaborate with manufacturers to ensure technical alignment and competitive positioning., • Maintain a deep understanding of MJEC’s product portfolio, capabilities, and market differentiators., • Track project opportunities and customer interactions in CRM and ensure timely follow-up., • Meet or exceed assigned sales goals and contribute to regional growth strategies., • Attend industry events, manufacturer training, and networking functions to strengthen relationships and market presence., • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted., • 3–5 years of outside sales experience in the commercial HVAC or mechanical industry., • Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, and building applications., • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills., • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment., • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software., • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within assigned territory. Compensation & Benefits • Compensation: 100% commission-based structure.
