Job Title: Senior Project Manager Recruiters not needed at this time Position: Marathon Construction is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and lead construction projects across Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with the ability to manage complex commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, while mentoring project teams, ensuring client satisfaction, and delivering projects on time and within budget. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Project Leadership & Execution • Lead and oversee all phases of assigned projects, including estimating, bidding, scheduling, procurement, construction, and closeout., • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality, safety, budget, and schedule adherence., • Prepare, negotiate, and manage contracts, change orders, purchase orders, and AIA requisitions., • Maintain full accountability for project budgets, cost controls, forecasting, and profitability., • Provide leadership, guidance, and professional development to Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Engineers., • Conduct weekly project meetings with clients and internal teams, ensuring transparent communication and effective decision-making., • Implement and enforce best practices in project delivery, safety, scheduling, and risk management., • Leverage ProCore and other project management software for documentation, scheduling, and reporting., • Ensure exceptional client experiences through proactive communication and problem-solving. Qualifications & Experiance Experience & Education • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive project management experience in mixed use construction., • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)., • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and ProCore (or comparable project management platforms)., • Familiarity with AIA contract and requisition templates., • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications., • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to build and motivate teams., • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with proven ability to lead client and stakeholder interactions., • High attention to detail, accountability, and follow-through. Physical Requirements: • Ability to work in both office and active construction site environments., • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time., • Occasional lifting of materials and equipment up to 25 pounds., • Regular site visits require the ability to:, • Climb stairs and ladders., • Walk on uneven terrain., • Tolerate varying weather conditions (heat, cold, noise, dust)., • Frequent use of computer, phone, and standard office equipment., • Must be able to travel to project sites across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Maine Additional Requirements: • Arrive at work on time., • Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as needed., • Follow directions from a supervisor., • Interact with co-workers., • Understand and follow posted work rules and procedures., • Accept constructive criticism.
