Position Overview: The incumbent will report to the Vice President and will support all US sales activities. We are seeking an intermediate-level hunter style business development professional who can also support various marketing initiatives. We are seeking a motivated, field-oriented professional to support growth across mineral exploration, geotechnical, and infrastructure drilling markets. This role is focused onlead generation, relationship building, and brand presence - not high-pressure closing. The ideal candidate is comfortablecold calling, walking into offices, attending industry events, and meeting geologists, engineers, and procurement staff. They are also active on social media and can help promote Harris Explorations people, equipment, and projects through frequent, professional posts. This role is best suited for someone early to mid-career who wants to grow into a senior sales or business development role within the drilling and mining industry. Duties and Responsibilities: • Sales & Business Development, • Cold call and emailexploration geologists, mine geologists, project managers, and procurement teams, • Develop relationships with: Mining and exploration companies, Engineering & consulting firms, Geotechnical and environmental consultants, and Infrastructure and groundwater specialists (dewatering wells, monitoring wells, etc.)., • Schedule and attendin-person meetings, site visits, and lunches, • Identify upcoming drilling programs and capital projects, • Maintain and update aCRM or lead tracking system, • Coordinate closely with Operations to ensure leads align with available equipment and capabilities, • Support proposal development by gathering client intelligence (scope, timing, budgets), • Marketing & Brand Presence, • Actively post onLinkedIn and other relevant platforms(24+ times per week), • Share: Project updates, Equipment capabilities, Safety culture, Crew spotlights, and Industry insights., • Attend conferences, trade shows, and local industry events, • Represent Harris Exploration professionally in the field and online, • Help grow brand recognition in new and existing markets, • Coordinate with leadership on messaging and positioning, • Market Intelligence & Strategy Support, • Track competitor activity and market trends, • Identify new market opportunities (sonic, RC, core, geotechnical, water wells), • Provide feedback on pricing, client expectations, and industry movement, • Assist leadership with territory planning and account prioritization, • Other duties as required. Job Requirements: • Relevant post-secondary credentials or equivalent experience., • 3+ years experience insales, business development, or field-based roles is required., • Experience in a relevant industry is strongly preferred, including Mining, Geology, Drilling, Construction, or Engineering services., • Comfortable withcold calling and face-to-face outreach., • Strong communication and relationship-building skills., • Active and competent with online marketing and social media (especially LinkedIn) is required., • Willingness to travel regionally is required., • Valid drivers license is required., • Self-starter with ahunter mentality; comfortable hearing no and following up professionally., • Professional, organized and disciplined with follow-through., • Curious about geology, drilling, and field operations., • High integrity and team-oriented mindset., • Familiarity with drilling methods (RC, core, sonic, geotechnical, wells) is strongly preferred., • Experience using CRM tools, • Existing relationships in mining or consulting communities is an asset., • Adaptable and able to work independently and in team settings, • Proactive and results-driven.
