Job DescriptionCommercial Superintendent We are a leading construction company in the Charlottesville market and we are seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our team. Responsibilities • Develops a schedule and cost-effective plan for completion of an assigned project, updates detailed and accurate 3-week Look-Ahead plan on weekly basis., • Collaborates with Shop and other staff to create preconstruction estimates and budgets for materials and labor. Provide Shop with adequate notification for tools and equipment needed., • Coordinates and schedules the work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, communicating to and via project foreperson to deliver instructions and project assignments as appropriate., • Creates and runs project meeting with subcontractors to ensure project stays within timeline and budget., • Communicates with Project Manager as needed to identify plan changes, • Maintains and finalizes project documentation, specially "As-Built" documents. Submits detailed and accurate daily reports., • Regularly inspects work for quality and timeliness; prepares and provides progress reports to owners and architects; makes recommendations for necessary modifications.
