Job Description What You'll Do * Machine new foundry patterns and core boxes using manual equipment (lathe, milling machines, etc.). * Set up and operate CNC machining equipment. * Repair and modify existing tooling to ensure optimal performance. * Support tooling needs for injection molding, blow molding, and extrusion processes. * Build fixtures and machining components for multiple departments. * Assemble pattern sections using hand tools, fasteners, adhesives, or welding. * Conduct pattern changeovers and ensure equipment readiness for production. * Finish patterns using grinders, files, and other finishing tools. * Design and create templates, patterns, or core boxes from blueprints, samples, or mockups. * Mark and label patterns for identification and traceability. * Read blueprints and drawings, calculate dimensions, and plan machining steps. * Verify all dimensions using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.). * Explore opportunities to integrate 3D scanning, 3D printing, and other additive manufacturing technologies. What You Bring * 3+ years of machining experience—specifically with foundry tooling. * Strong skills using manual machines (lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinders). * Experience setting up and operating CNC machines (a plus). * Familiarity with 3D scanning and 3D printing (preferred). * Experience with injection molding, blow molding, or extrusion tooling (preferred). * Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. * Attention to detail and a passion for craftsmanship.
