Assist residents with nail care (i.e., clipping, trimming and cleaning the fingernails). Toenails are cleaned but not trimmed. Shave male residents. Keep face on female residents clean shaven (i.e., facial hair). Keep residents dry (i.e., change gown, clothing, linen, etc., when it becomes wet or soiled.). Make beds (occupied and unoccupied). Position bedfast residents in correct and comfortable position. Reposition every two hours. Change bed linens. Keep linens tight to avoid wrinkles from forming under the resident. Put extra covers on beds as requested. Assist resident with bowel and bladder functions (i.e., take to bathroom, offer bedpan/urinal, portable commode, etc.). Maintain bowel and bladder program on designated residents. Follow orders for restraints (documents release and activity every 2 hours). Maintain intake and output records as instructed. Keep incontinent residents clean and dry. Check and report bowel movements and character of , stools as instructed. Collect specimens as instructed (i.e., urine, sputum, stools, etc.). Assist residents in preparing for medical tests (i.e., lab work, x-ray, therapy, dental, etc.). Assist residents in preparing for activity and social programs (i.e., church services, parties, visitors, etc.). Follow established policies concerning exposure to blood/body fluids. Assist in transporting residents to/from activity and social programs, etc., as necessary. Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc. according to facility policy. Answer resident calls promptly. Assist residents to walk with or without self-help devices, as instructed. Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed. Provide eye and ear care (i.e., cleaning eyeglasses/hearing aides, etc.) as instructed. Measure and record temperatures, pulse, and respirations (TPRs), and blood pressures as instructed. Weigh and measure residents as instructed. Assist in preparing the resident for a physical examination. Assist with the care of the dying resident. Provide post-mortem care as instructed. Check residents routinely to assure that their personal care needs are being met. Participates in giving report upon leaving duty. SPECIAL NURSING CARE FUNCTIONS: Observe and report the presence of pressure areas and skin breakdowns to prevent pressure sores. Provide daily perineal care. Assist with the application of slings, elastic bandages, binders, braces, etc. Give tepid sponge baths. Provide daily Range of Motion Exercise. Record data as instructed. Turn and position bedfast residents at least every two (2) hours. Observe disoriented and comatose residents. Record and report data as instructed. Watch for and report ·any change in room temperature, ventilation, lighting, etc. Turn all medications found in the resident's room/possession over to the Charge Nurse Supervisor. Provide residents with Validation Therapy as instructed. FOOD SERVICE FUNCTIONS: Prepare residents for meals (i.e., take to bathroom, wash hands, comb hair, raise bed, position tables, place bibs, take to/from dining room, etc.). Serve food trays. Assist with feeding as indicated (i.e., cutting foods, feeding, assist in dining room supervision, etc.). Assist resident to get alternate meal if they prefer. Assist residents with identifying food arrangements (i.e., informing residents with sight problems, of foods that are on his/her tray, where it is located;. if it is hot/cold, etc.). Record the residents food/fluid intake. Report changes in the residents eating habits. Keep residents' water cups clean and filled with fresh water (on each shift), and within easy reach of the residents. Serve between meal and bedtime snacks. Perform after meal care (i.e., remove trays, clean resident's hands, face, clothing, take to bathroom, brush teeth, clean dentures, etc.). Check rooms for food articles *i.e., food in proper container, unauthorized food items, etc.). STAFF DEVELOPMENT: Attend and participate in scheduled training and educational classes. SAFETY AND SANITATION: Release restraints at least every two (2) hours for range of motion exercises, taking to bathroom, etc. Notify the Charge Nurse of any resident leaving/missing from the facility. Keep floors dry. Report spills immediately. Keep excess supplies and equipment off the floor. Store in designated areas. Keep residents personal possessions off the floor and properly stored. Follow established smoking regulations. Report all violations. Keep the nurses' call system within easy reach of the resident. Report all hazardous conditions and defective equipment to the Charge/Staff Nurse immediately. Follow established safety precautions in the performance of all duties (i.e., use of assist and/or lifts in transferring residents). Report all safety violations. Keep bedside rails up when the resident is in bed, if appropriate. Before leaving work area for breaks, or at the end of the work day, store all tools, equipment, and supplies. Wash hands before and after performing any service for the residents. Clean, disinfect, and return all resident care equipment to its designated storage area after each use. Operations Manager This position supports the Operations team at I.Rice as an Operations Manager for all production areas. Experience in food manufacturing setting is essential to this position. This is a full-time position with daytime hours, primarily Monday through Friday. This candidate must be able to work in a continuous setting, performing multiple duties, and engaging new opportunities each day. Essential Job and Duties: • Understands the proper operations of kettle and filling equipment to produce product within guidelines established by the Operations and Quality Control teams and to the highest possible standard of quality, • Understands the proper handling of ingredients, packaging and other goods, • Understands the proper handling related to processing, including temperature monitoring, cook times, and filling packaging, • Awareness of the daily production schedule as assigned, • Manages and supervises temporary staffing to ensure attendance and position in the organization, • Oversee and implement training of temporary and new employees on GMPs and company guidelines, • Monitors floor staff to ensure adherence to assignments and commitment to food safety and quality, • Inspects quality and consistency of finished product and alerts Operations and Quality Control teams of any concerns This individual must have fundamental knowledge of the duties and equipment described above. Training provided as needed. Key skills and expectations as follows • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills are a key trait for this position, including speaking clearly in positive and negative situations, respond to questions, listens and gets clarification, • Keen sense of attention to detail, • Must be highly organized as to best manage changing priorities associated with a fast-paced, team environment, • Ability to manage time effectively, • Ability to work in a team, and with a diverse group of people, • Must be a self-starter and self-motivated Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred but not required, • Previous experience (2-5 years minimum) in a manufacturing facility required, • Experience managing and supervising staff within department, • Ability to conduct basic math functions, • Must have mechanical ability to make minor adjustments, • Must operate Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), • Must follow all safety rules and protocols, • Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime and weekend hours, • Be able to lift 50 pounds Benefits and Compensation include: • Weekly pay with direct deposit available, • Health care insurance and various supplement insurance programs available after 90 days, • 401K program option after one year of employment, • Uniform program
