Job Description Job Title: Engineering Technician Role Description The Engineering Technician will be responsible for cleanup, repair, and replacement of various commercial items for Dallas Country Club, to ensure a safe and attractive environment for members and guests. Key Responsibilities • Respond to service requests in a professional and timely manner, • Communicate with supervisor to prioritize tasks throughout the day, • Communicate clearly, compassionately, and with empathy when speaking with internal team members, vendors and members/guests, • Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with members and vendors, • Install new appliances, • Clean/replace faucets, sinks, drains, toilets, water heaters, disposals and sump pumps to include minor plumbing repairs, • Caulk and grout, as needed, • Test for current, replace receptacles and GFCI’s, • Replace light fixtures, ceiling fans switches, outlets and perform other minor electrical work, • Repair/install strikers, latches, hinges, doorknobs, locksets and lockboxes, • Repair/replace/rescreen window screens, • Install pre-hung doors and repair/install windows, panes and blinds, • Replace baseboards, door casings and mouldings, • Install/repair cabinet doors, hinges and fixtures, • Clear condensate lines and pans, • Clean dust, plants and debris around condensing unit to include replacing air filter and thermostat, • Spray for bugs/Indoor foggers, • Patch holes touch up and paint properties, • Consistently maintains a clean work environment, • Captures timesheets and work orders correctly, • Accurately utilize technology (inventory tracking system, company vehicles, etc.) to drive productivity and continuous improvement for maintenance service delivery, • High school diploma or GED, • 4 years maintenance/construction background, • Skilled in installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of commercial appliances, plumbing, electrical and miscellaneous items, • Experience leveraging technology (iPad, iPhones, Microsoft Office, etc.), • Ability to work on-call and overtime hours, as needed, • Work safely, wearing PPE’s, • Commitment to serving members and guests in accordance with Club Standards of Service, • Must be able to work in environmentally and physically challenging working conditions, • Must be able to lift objects weighing 50lbs or more regularly, • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, or listen, • The employee is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, or crouch, • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and depth perception, • Must be available for holidays/weekends and evenings Dallas Country Club is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate based on sex (including gender identity, pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), gender, race, religion, ethnicity, national origin, political affiliation, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, genetic information, marital status, age, sexual orientation, military service, veteran status, or any other status protected by federal, state, or local laws.
