JOB SUMMARY The Manager of Promotional Development is responsible for managing the development, procurement, and project management of locally produced promotional programming for assigned projects within the Shiseido Brand. Supporting the POSM categories of gift with purchase, pouches/bags, collateral, event items and print. WHAT YOU WILL DO • You will be responsible for the end-to-end process for each assigned project item, including the development, procurement and project management., • You will be accountable for ensuring all Promotional Development dates and milestones within the Creative Calendar & documented Creative Request Process are met from initiation to completion (system item set up, quoting, cost efficiencies, PO assignment/creation, warehouse delivery) with the highest level of accuracy in all details related to individual projects., • You will manage the timeline throughout the process to ensure that marketing elements are delivered on time and in line with budget expectations., • You will be responsible for negotiating cost with select vendors and summarizing key cost estimates for comparison and project approval., • You will partner with brand creative and design teams to address issues and provide alternatives to reduce cost and enhance functionality, • You will direct and oversee our chosen vendors in generating concepts and samples for current and future promotional programming., • You will be responsible for trend hunt, competitive shopping, seek new ideas/concepts for key programs based on the new and ever-changing consumer landscape., • You will prepare, process and track purchase orders for locally sourced items; coordinate with Operations teams, distribution center, and Vendors to resolve any issues related not compliant with the warehouse requirements., • You will support and lead category management initiatives along with special projects as assigned., • You will provide updates, highlighting risks/delays, and support in weekly and bi-weekly meeting with Operations, Creative, and Brands., • You will develop strong working relationship with key stakeholders such as:, • Marketing, • Creative, • Finance, • NPD, • Planning, • Logistics WHO YOU ARE • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in POSM development and procurement with strong technical category knowledge., • You have prestige beauty experience across multiple channels (department store, open sell, boutique)., • You have procurement and negotiation experience., • You are highly driven, proactive and energetic., • You have strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills and high attention to detail., • You have strong communication (written, oral, presentation) and interpersonal skills. JOB SUMMARY Manage the strategic procurement for Visual Merchandise for Shiseido Americas while maintaining lowest total cost possible, at agreed upon service and cash levels. Coordination, maintenance, and integrity of Procurement Department information. Partnering with VM Design and Brands to optimize functionality, cost, and time to execute with the Suppliers. WHAT YOU WILL DO • You will manage and coordinate information for Department in the following Categories: Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Visual Merchandise and Promotional Materials, • You will manage development and execution of visual merchandising serving as primary point of contact with suppliers on behalf of the Brand and VM Design teams., • You will help the department manage approximately $10 MM USD spend across current suppliers and work with new suppliers to qualify them in our supply chain., • You will provide feasibility of materials, layouts, and costs with internal stakeholders and suppliers., • You will do other Departmental Project Specific Tasks as needed, including but not limited to Data Analysis and ad hoc Reporting., • You will lead the category/supplier work for their designated brands. Work in partnership with Visual Merchandise Design on new innovations while maintaining lowest cost and increase value., • You will lead & share in the development of POSM Procurement best practices to achieve a Top Tier Company., • You will drive ownership and accountability for service, cost and cash throughout all levels of the procurement group, • You will be responsible for Management and Accuracy of Department Data., • You will create a partnership with Marketing/VM/Finance and suppliers., • You will work with suppliers to create the partnership that helps to bring new innovation to Shiseido., • You will work on new innovations (end to end) in their category to make sure we are paying the lowest possible cost, and it meets the timeline, • You will create and execute strategies for their brand., • You will work with Project Management group to make sure new update time line, competitive cost vs. benchmark and delivery as per the calendar are met., • You will participate in weekly meetings and provide project update as needed., • You will participate in supplier business reviews and lead future strategies with suppliers x brand., • You will manage Item Master Setup process for Item Creation and Price Entries in SAP., • You will issue Purchase Orders, • You will manage supplier production progress, • You will be responsible for New Supplier Information & System Setup, Contract Price List Management and System Validation., • You will develop annual budget, cost savings, cash glide paths and action plans to deliver the corporate objectives for continuous improvement in cost and cash., • You will participate in defining aligned and documenting processes that support the Procurement best practices., • You will adhere to KPI’s to measure and improve the effectiveness of the key elements of the procurement organization., • You will work with internal and external stakeholders to develop and use harmonize processes and tools., • You will help the department manage approximately $40 MM USD POSM spend across current suppliers and work with new suppliers to qualify them in our supply chain. WHO YOU ARE • You have a 4 year academic degree, MBA a plus, • You have procurement certificates., • You have Beauty Industry Background., • You have a minimum of 3 - 4 years of work experience in Visual Merchandise with some technical knowledge of display engineering and manufacturing, • You are a competent user of computerized IT systems – Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other associated scheduling, forecasting software packages, • You have 2 - 3 years of experience working within a procurement tool (SAP, Ariba, JDE etc) environment at an advanced level, • You have end to End Supply Chain Functions and Linkage, • You understand payment terms, total cost of ownership etc, • You understand financial health and social audit requirements to assess suppliers, • You have thorough working knowledge of procurement management., • You have an understanding of Supplier Management concepts., • You can work in a fast-paced Team environment., • Savings achieved, • You can support Updates RFQ's x Brand, • You can negotiate Right Cost/First Time, • You can support accuracy of Data Management, • You are capable of streamlining/Simplification of Processes, • You have organizational Information Control, • You can achieve results, • You have strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, • You are customer and consumer focus, • You have attention to detail while being able to see the “big picture”, • You can lead others through example, setting standards for performance, and creating accountability If this sounds like you, we want you on our team.
