Job DescriptionDescription: Job Summary - This position will be responsible for the leadership and direction of sales within the district. The district sales manager plays a key role in the development, implementation, and execution of district strategies through effective cross-functional collaboration with teams, including Branch Operations, Human Resources, Service, Credit, and Purchasing. Key Outcomes • A sales staff that embodies the Haun values and a thriving sales culture, • Meets or exceeds annual and monthly sales and budget goals for branches and region o Revenue by District o GP by District o % Customer growth o % New customer acquisition • An expertly trained and developed sales force, • Ensures sales, process, strategy, and funnel execution within CRM, • Branch and region are operationally efficient and effective at serving the customer Key Rhythms • Daily coaching and instruction in sales best practices, • Ensuring the Four Rs: right people/ right roles, recruiting, remediation, retention, • Weekly review of action reports, • Weekly Sales Managers Huddle to further develop the sales organization, • Monthly ride-along and coaching with salespersons, • Monthly one-on-one accountability conversations with each salesperson, • Monthly Regional Sales Meetings, • Weekly coordination with the District Operations Manager, • Actively participate in the Monthly Leadership meetings for corporate review and strategic planning, • Monthly Regional Huddles with the District Operations Manager, • Monthly Branch Manager connection, • Quarterly Company-Wide Sales Meetings, • Own and maintain the learning and development process for your region, • Create and coordinate with corporate functions and branch operations to improve processes and customer outcomes Relational Scope • Direct Report to COO, • Dotted line to Co-Presidents, • Partner with your complementing Regional District Manager, • Partner with other Sales Managers, • Partner with Department Directors or Managers (Plant, Finance, HR, Safety, etc), • Dotted line to Branch Manager, • Member of Leadership Team, • Direct Supervisor to the your Regional Sales team, • Leader and model to your region Requirements: Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities • Face-to-face field time with the sales staff and customers to mentor, develop, and drive positive results, • Provide feedback to the Leadership Team on district needs as well as competitive market threats/opportunities, • Partner with other District Sales Managers to develop the sales organization, • Ensure that marketing efforts are consistent across each branch, • Develop team through motivation, counseling, and product knowledge education, • Partner with your District Operations Manager, • Work with other managers to address operational problems that arise, • Foster a positive environment that reflects the Haun values, • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, • Build relationships within the local communities surrounding the district, • Monitor the financial results of your individual salespeople, team, branches, and district Liaise between regional employees and company headquarters, • Make recommendations to senior management, • Proficiency with Acumatica and Haun systems, • Follow prescribed safety protocols, • Other duties as assigned, • This position does have supervisory responsibilities Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred, • Must have at the time of hire and maintain throughout employment a valid NYS drivers' license free of major infractions, • Must live within the designated territory, • 5+ years of related experience in a sales or branch role, • Experience in industrial equipment or welding equipment is beneficial, • Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment, • Experience in customer relationship management, • Dedication to providing excellent customer service Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Ability to work independently with minimum direction, • Ability to work in a cooperative work environment, • Excellent time management and organizational skills, • Excellent written and verbal communication, • Quantitative aptitude and experience managing budgets, • Leadership and decision-making ability, • Exceptional interpersonal skills, • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skill, • Ability to understand directions and follow standard operating procedures, • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, • Ability to develop and execute market/ business plans, • Must possess excellent customer skills, • Knowledge of specified products and/or services offered, • Ability to operate various technologies, including computers, printers, photocopiers, and telephones., • Ability to use assigned software: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Acumatica, or others assigned), • Ability to wear safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, hearing protection, and face shield Physical Requirements • Moderate mental and visual attention required for performing manual work, • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, walk, talk, hear, climb, balance, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push, pull, lift, use fingers, grasp, feel, and perform repetitive motions, • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently or in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally to move objects Environmental Conditions • Work is performed in an office environment and will require regular travel, • Regular presence in
