ChangeLine is looking for a Senior Accountant to work onsite in our Colorado Springs office who'll do far more than manage the books. You'll be a strategic partner, systems builder, and financial storyteller who brings insight, accuracy, and ensures every dollar is aligned to purpose and impact. What You’ll Do What You’llThis role ensures financial accuracy, integrity, and transparency across all financial operations. You’ll be a collaborative partner driving financial clarity, supporting long-term planning, and building systems that turn complex processes into efficient workflows. • You’ll be the financial heartbeat of the organization, leading all things accounting, reporting, and compliance., • Balance the nitty-gritty details with the big picture to bridge accounting, strategy, and impact., • Keep our books balanced and our financial reports beautiful through full-cycle accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, AP/AR, and all the other good stuff., • Manage the financial grant lifecycle by creating budgets, tracking spending, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance so we’re always audit-ready., • Partner with leadership and staff to make sure financial information tells a clear story of impact and stewardship., • Process payroll (you’ll be the office favorite for this!) and manage 401(k) administration with precision and care., • Prepare financial statements, support audits, and help shape the annual budget and forecasts., • Use data and reporting tools to spot trends, guide decisions, and turn numbers into actionable strategies and stories of success., • Serve as a systems champion, improving processes, streamlining workflows, and identifying efficiencies that align financial health with mission impact., • Contribute to fundraising proposals, revenue strategies, and financial modeling and analysis to inform decision-making for long-term growth and sustainability., • Develop strong internal controls to protect organizational assets, minimize risk, and ensure transparency., • Maintain a squeaky clean, organized chart of accounts aligned with programs, grants, and donor requirements., • Analyze financial performance and proactively recommend strategies for cost optimization, resource allocation, and growth opportunities.Your Superpowers & Expertise, • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)., • 5+ years of accounting experience (nonprofit or grant management experience is a huge plus)!, • Expertise in GAAP, nonprofit accounting principles, and grant management., • Strong Excel and QuickBooks skills (you probably have a few favorite formulas)., • A knack for accuracy, organization, and making complex things simple., • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, you can fly solo or thrive as part of a team., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy., • Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and supporting the organization’s mission through sound financial health and stewardship.Culture & Benefits, • We take our work seriously, but we laugh hard, celebrate big, and we’re not afraid to challenge the status quo., • Our culture blends heart, strategy, humor, and values your ideas, input, and well-being., • Salary range for this full-time position is $75,000 - $85,000 / annually depending on experience., • Medical, Dental, Vision; 401(k)., • Generous vacation and sick time; flexible schedule., • Life insurance, Short- & Long-Term Disability.Don't meet every single requirement?
