POSITION EXPECTATIONPOSITION EXPECTATIONS Position Summary The Production Manager in Training is responsible for learning all aspects of the Production Manager role. The Production Manager in Training reports to the Store Manager and is responsible for all production goal tracking, quality, and quantity checks as well as managing the retail production staff. The position acts as primary key holder and fills in for the Store Manager when they are out of the store. Responsibilities • Achieves daily, weekly, and monthly production goals for the store, reaching out to senior management when short on donations., • Ensures every rack/cart of processed goods receives a quality, quantity review., • Performs salvage audit daily to ensure the quality of the donated goods on the floor and makes sure quality donations are not in salvage processing., • Communicates with the Store Management Team the Central Warehouse needs to ensure production and sales goals will be met., • Sorts and ensures training for E-Commerce categories, brands, etc., • Handles computer interaction for emails, reports, and other required communication to management., • Trains and coaches team members to follow the Production Manual Guidelines, Picture Process Maps (PPM’s), production metrics and pricing guidelines. Holds team members accountable for meeting processing goals., • Ensures quality customer service is presented and provided by team members in a timely and courteous manner to all customers, donors, and other team members., • Ensures that the store surrounding premises are kept clean and free of safety hazards, and safety procedures are understood and followed by all team members., • Provides general Store Management when the Store Manager is out of the office., • Collects all found money and donated jewelry daily and hands in daily. Processes necessary paperwork and subsequent functions. Jewelry is to be sent back to e-collectibles., • Assists in any other projects or tasks as determined by management. Education, Experience and Requirements Required • Proven reliability in meeting attendance expectations, • Team members in this position may be required to travel at a moment’s notice or be transferred to other Goodwill retail stores, based on business operational needs., • Must be able to continuously perform repetitive work at a set pace., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including a strong emphasis on Word and Excel, • Must possess strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication skills., • Must be able to operate and obtain certification for the use of the stacker., • Exhibits a high level of integrity and business ethics., • Exhibits a high level of adaptability and flexibility. Preferred • High school/ GED completion preferred., • Minimum of 3 years of retail production supervisory experience preferred., • Minimum of 3 years of goal setting and tracking experience preferred., • Minimum of 3 years of handling salvage or simple type of audits preferred., • Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus. Environmental Factors • Duties will be conducted at the Retail Stores, Central Warehouse, or other assigned Goodwill locations where no cooling or heating will be available. Exposure to extreme heat, cold, dust, animal hair, and sometimes humidity. Physical Factors • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull minimum of 50 pounds., • Must be able to tolerate prolonged standing, walking, reaching, stooping, lifting, pulling, bending, kneeling.
