Job DescriptionDescription: Mental Health Therapist (AMFT / ASW / APCC) Clinical Excellence & Trauma-Informed Psychotherapy | Sherman Oaks Hybrid Let's be honest with each other right from the start. Many therapy practices write job posts that sound like a spa menu. Soft words. Vague promises. Language that evaporates on day one. This isn't that. Zeeva is a therapist-owned and clinician-led mental health practice in Sherman Oaks doing something genuinely rare: delivering premium, high-quality psychotherapy while staying deeply committed to accessibility, including Medi-Cal and Medicare populations. Excellence and humanity don't just coexist here. They depend on each other. It's how we actually operate, every single day. We believe the warmest, most connected teams produce the strongest clinical work. And we've built our practice to prove it. Our mission is to care for one another, bring light to the world, and advance trauma-informed, whole-person mental health: one life, one family, one community at a time. WHO WE ARE Heart-Centered Empathy leads. We show up warm, present, grounded, and authentically human with our clients, colleagues, and ourselves. Inspired Learning We are forever students. Curiosity and lifelong learning are woven into our culture. We seek wisdom, welcome feedback, and continually strengthen our craft. Dedicated to Excellence We honor the trust our clients place in us through thoughtful care, strong ethics, and meaningful clinical work. The Power of We No one succeeds alone. We believe collaboration strengthens clinicians, clients, and communities. Brave Reflection We embrace honest feedback, self-awareness, accountability, and the courage to continually become better clinicians and colleagues. We are clinicians who get excited talking about a case. People who came to this field from entirely different lives and brought all of it with them. People of every background, belief, and story. People who love the full landscape of this work, the complexity, the variety, the fact that no two clients and no two sessions are ever quite the same. Outside-the-box thinkers who bring creative, flexible clinical minds to every case. The quiet ones who bring a steadiness to the room that we feel before a word is spoken. Career changers who realized, at some point, that being a therapist is what they were actually meant to become. What we share isn't a similarity. It's a standard, a standard for clinical rigor, for honesty with each other, and for showing up fully for the people who trust us with the hardest parts of their lives. WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT Many associate positions may focus on associates earn BBS hours. At Zeeva, we focus on building something meaningful together, an impact that extends far beyond licensure. We believe supervision is sacred work and one of the most important investments we can make in the future of mental health care. Today's associates become tomorrow's supervisors, mentors, and clinical leaders. While every clinician's path is unique, our vision has always been larger than helping someone just obtain a license. We are a community of therapists committed to excellent clinical care, lifelong learning, meaningful contribution, and service to others. Many practices operate as a temporary stop along the way. We aspire to be a place where clinicians establish roots, build a future of excellence, and continue contributing long after licensure. Not too long ago, some of our current supervisors, mentors, and leaders have sat in associate positions.
