The Massage Therapist plays a vital role in delivering a restorative, high?quality spa experience by providing exceptional massage and body treatments tailored to each guest's needs. Your ability to perform services with professionalism, skill, and genuine care ensures every guest receives the highest standard of comfort and relaxation. By maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, upholding strict sanitation and service protocols, and demonstrating deep product and treatment knowledge, you help reinforce the excellence of the Live! Spa and contribute to a memorable and rejuvenating visit for every guest. Skills to Help You Succeed: • Customer service experience, preferably in a spa., • Must be able to build rapport with guests and determine needs., • Excellent work ethic., • Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously., • Energetic, enthusiastic and motivational., • Professional manner, discretion, and appearance., • Good verbal and written skills., • Strong team player. Must-Haves: • High School Diploma or GED., • Valid Maryland state license in massage therapy or other credentials required by Maryland., • Current CPR certification., • Must maintain all current licenses and certifications that are required on a state or local level. Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand for long periods., • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of constantly to move objects., • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds., • This position requires the following abilities: balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, tactile sense, repetitive motions, seeing, hearing, talking, and visual acuity., • The employee will be required to operate the following tools: massage oils and lotions, hot stones, hot cabbie, hand towels, eye masks, body treatment products, hot packs, mud, salts, paraffin heaters, and disinfectants., • Work conditions may include exposure to odors, fumes, and vibrations. For those working in a facility with a steam room or hydrotherapy, this would include working with or near water and steam in hot temperatures. Working Conditions: • 24/7 high energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 3000 employees., • Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises., • You will work in an environment where smoking is allowed., • Willingness and ability to be flexible with work schedule.
