Responsibilities: • Basic knowledge of sports training., • Flexible schedule availability between 6:00am to 10:00pm during weekdays, as well as weekends and holidays., • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment., • Energetic, positive, and optimistic attitude., • Ability to squat, bend, kneel, climb, lift objects over 30 pounds, drag objects, jump, stand for long periods of time, and manage an energetic tone of voice.     We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering both relaxation and therapeutic massages to help alleviate body pain and discomfort. Your primary duties will include assessing clients' needs, creating a soothing atmosphere, and applying techniques to release tension and promote overall well-being. A key part of the role involves understanding client preferences and adjusting your approach based on verbal and non-verbal cues to ensure an optimal experience for each individual. Responsibilities Providing timed massages to members by appointments. Ensures each patient is assessed and that treatment given is evaluated using evidence-based practice, including improvement of muscle tone, circulation, range of motion, and physical symptoms related to their illness. Guide patients through service offerings to see what massages would benefit them the most. Take detailed member history and note any health conditions, evaluate members to determine painful or stressed areas of the body, suggest future massage appointments and regime to members. Develops a plan of care in conjunction with patient and family. Discusses patient suitability to receive massage therapy treatment with the referring professional and the Home Care Palliative Care Program as needed. Acts as the patient’s advocate in relation to Massage Therapy. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Licensed by the State of New York, required. Minimum of three years of experience working with the medically fragile population, preferred. Minimum of one year of experience working with the pediatric population involving end of life care, preferred. Job Type: Contract
