The firm represents clients in mass torts cases, toxic torts cases, personal injury, medical malpractice, construction accidents, defective products, dangerous medications, consumer fraud, 9/11 VCF claims, and product liability cases. Job Overview: This Personal Injury Paralegal position supports attorneys throughout the life cycle of plaintiff personal injury and related litigation matters, from intake and case management through discovery, legal drafting, medical records review, e-filing, and trial preparation. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced law firm environment, communicates professionally with clients and courts, and is confident using legal research, document management, and case management software to keep matters moving efficiently. Responsibilities: • Draft, prepare, and review pleadings, motions, affidavits, discovery demands, discovery responses, subpoenas, and other litigation documents;, • Organize, maintain, and summarize case files, client records, medical records, deposition transcripts, and supporting evidence with a high level of accuracy;, • Communicate with clients, expert providers, court personnel, and outside parties in a professional, responsive, and client-focused manner;, • Assist with case intake, calendaring, scheduling, and deadline tracking from pre-litigation through settlement or trial;, • Prepare materials for depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation;, • File court documents through state and federal e-filing systems and support compliance with New York court rules and procedures;, • Use legal research tools, Microsoft Office, case management software, and document management systems efficiently;, • Collaborate closely with attorneys and legal staff in a team-oriented plaintiff personal injury law firm environment. Qualifications: • 3+ years of experience as a Personal Injury Paralegal, Litigation Paralegal, or 5+ years Legal Assistant in plaintiff personal injury, medical malpractice, mass tort, or related civil litigation;, • Paralegal certificate, Associate degree, or comparable legal support training required;, • Experience drafting pleadings, complaints, motions, affidavits, subpoenas, and discovery materials;, • Experience obtaining, reviewing, organizing, and summarizing medical records and case-related documents;, • Working knowledge of New York state and federal court rules, filing procedures, and litigation deadlines;, • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, empathetic, and client-service-oriented approach;, • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple active cases and deadlines;, • A positive attitude, strong initiative, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in an in-person law office setting;, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort using legal technology, e-filing platforms, legal research tools, and case management software;, • Experience with LexisNexis, Copilot, Filevine, Monday.com, or similar legal software is a plus. Salary Range (NYC Local Law 32): The compensation range for this position is $55,000 – $70,000 per year. Actual pay will be based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
