PRE & POST-OPERATIONAL TRUCK INSPECTIONS Requirements: - Valid tow truck driver’s license - (TOW ENDORSEMENT) - Tow Truck Driver License issued by the New York City Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP). (If not already in possession, must apply and acquire within 30 days of employment) - Tow Truck Driver License issued by the Town of Hempstead (TOH). (If not already in possession, must apply and acquire within 30 days of employment) - Minimum of three years of experience as a tow truck driver. - Strong communication and customer service skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Knowledge of vehicle loading and securing procedures. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for: Generating new business: Prospecting, identifying, and qualifying leads within the commercial and industrial sectors (e.g., supermarkets, offices, warehouses, retail, manufacturing facilities, educational institutions). Consultative Selling: Conducting on-site visits to businesses, assessing their current lighting systems, and providing comprehensive, tailored LED upgrade proposals. Presenting Value: Effectively communicating the significant energy savings, cost reductions, environmental benefits, and improved lighting quality that our LED upgrades offer. Managing the Sales Cycle: From initial contact to closing the deal, you will ensure the commercial establishment receives transparent information about our company and our ConEd program. Collaboration: Working closely with our internal support teams (e.g., Sales Director, Electrician Supervisor) to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction. What we're looking for: 2 + years of proven success in B2B field sales, preferably in lighting, energy efficiency, HVAC, or a related commercial product/service. We will consider entry-level Sales staff as well. Demonstrated ability to prospect, qualify, and close medium to large scale commercial businesses. Excellent communication, professional presentation, and negotiation skills. Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to manage a sales pipeline effectively. Highly organized with strong time management abilities. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is a plus, but not must (it helps to maintain efficient field visits), as ome of our Sales staff effectively utilize public transportation. Before you respond, you MUST have: - Minimum of (1) year experience in dispatch/logistics. - -Minimum of 1 year in sales - preferably commission or tip based industry. - Knowledge of the greater NYC Metro area & Nassau county area. - A flexible schedule will be required, including days, nights and weekends. (This is not a typical 9-5 job.) Shifts sometimes will overlap and overtime is more frequent in this position. The ideal candidate should be punctual, reliable and show great integrity in their work. You must be able to function well in a team environment or individually. Attention to detail is important. The starting pay range is $16.50-$25/hour.
