Position Summary This role focuses on advanced UVM-based verification of single and multi-FPGA designs within collaborative engineering teams. The engineer will support both early proof-of-concept FPGA efforts and high-assurance, safety-critical projects requiring exceptional reliability. Responsibilities include working closely with system, hardware, software, and FPGA engineers to translate system requirements into a comprehensive verification strategy, driving rigor into emerging technologies, and assisting with system-level integration to diagnose complex issues. The ideal candidate holds a technical bachelor’s degree and has at least three years of FPGA or ASIC verification experience using UVM or UVMF in high-assurance environments. Preferred qualifications include leadership experience in ASIC/FPGA verification, proficiency with Linux-based development workflows and version control tools, and familiarity with DO-254, cybersecurity-driven development processes, avionics systems, and requirements management tools such as DOORS. Experience generating verification documentation and supporting traceability for safety-critical FPGA programs is also highly valued. Key Responsibilities · Perform UVM Advance Verification on single or multi-FPGA programs working on small or large teams consisting of other FPGA designers, verification engineers, and project engineers. · Support FPGA development projects requiring early proof of concept designs as well as high assurance / safety critical FPGA development programs requiring very high reliability FPGA performance. · Collaborate with system engineers, hardware engineers, software engineers, and FPGA engineers to fully understand system requirements and derived requirements flow down to architect a complete verification solution that fully verifies the FPGA designs. · Drive robustness and rigor into early adopter technology solutions that lack sufficient level of verification for use in high assurance / safety critical Avionics solutions. · Engage as needed during system, software, hardware, and FPGA lab integration to replicate unique conditions that produce unexpected behavior. Required Qualifications and Skills · Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry · 3 or more years of FPGA or ASIC UVM or UVMF experience supporting high assurance or safety critical applications Preferred Skills ● Experience leading ASIC/FPGA verification teams to fully verify and deliver high reliability solutions on time ● Proficient in utilizing the latest FPGA development and version control tools in a Linux compute farm environment ● Experience verifying FPGA or ASIC per a DO-254 Design Assurance level A or B development process ● Experience verifying FPGA or ASIC per a cyber secure development environment/process ● Ability to create FPGA verification documents for high assurance applications (FPGA Verification Plan, Verification Cross Reference Matrix) ● Proficient in the use of Version Control or Production Release Systems: Git, ClearCase, Teamcenter, ● Experience with Aircraft Avionics Systems ● Military Service ● Experience with the use of DOORS for requirements management ● Experience with the use of tools used for FPGA development traceability Core Competencies ● Proactive and resourceful with a problem-solving attitude. ● Comfortable navigating ambiguity and fast-changing threat landscapes. ● Strong communicator who values clarity and teamwork. ● Detail-oriented without losing sight of broader security goals. ● Growth mindset with commitment to continuous learning. ● Resilient and adaptable in high-pressure environments. ● Compensation & Benefits ● Competitive salary based on experience. ● Health, dental, and vision insurance. ● Performance-based bonuses and recognition programs.
