Job Description Job Title: Warehouse Forklift Operator Job Description This role focuses on safely unloading trucks, handling and tagging parts, maintaining accurate inventory, and keeping the warehouse organized and clean in a 24/7 industrial environment. You will use various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to move parts, support internal requisitioners, and assist with equipment returns and shipments. Responsibilities • Unload trucks using a forklift and handle all incoming parts, excluding chemical deliveries., • Notify and coordinate with the chemist when chemical deliveries are pending., • Open incoming boxes, verify packing slips against delivered items, and ensure all shipments are correct., • Issue parts directly to requisitioners when items are not designated as inventory-tagged., • Tag all parts accurately and place them in the correct maintenance locations using tags printed from daily receiving reports., • Assist employees in locating and retrieving parts from the warehouse., • Perform daily physical inventory checks on all items removed from stock to help prevent unnecessary reorders, coordinating adjustments with purchasing as needed., • Keep the warehouse organized, orderly, and clean at all times., • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the East Bay area where parts arrive., • Conduct physical inventory counts on problem locations several times per week to resolve discrepancies., • Assist with the return of rental equipment and help locate equipment as required., • Proficiency operating forklifts, including reach trucks and propane-powered forklifts., • Experience with material handling in a warehouse or industrial environment., • Ability to perform warehouse inventory tasks, including tagging, stocking, and physical inventory counts., • Capability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling of parts and equipment., • Experience loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently., • Ability to follow packing slips and verify incoming shipments for accuracy., • Strong organizational skills to keep warehouse and receiving areas clean and orderly., • Experience using clamp forklifts or similar specialized material handling equipment., • Familiarity with rental equipment processes, including returns and tracking., • Experience working with maintenance or parts departments in an industrial or manufacturing environment., • Ability to collaborate with purchasing and other departments to resolve inventory discrepancies. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Staten Island, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
