Job Description JOB SUMMARYThe Industrial Electrician Level III is responsible for troubleshooting, assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems to ensure equipment availability and reliability. This role requires strong technical expertise in industrial electrical systems, a commitment to health and safety, and the ability to mentor less experienced team members. Robotics, automation, and PLC experience are highly valued. The position plays a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations, reducing downtime, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Ensure workplace safety by stopping work when hazards are identified and reporting incidents promptly., • Adhere to HSE standards and contribute to environmental stewardship by minimizing energy use, waste, and emissions., • Apply high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency., • Provide feedback into preventive maintenance systems and support uptime/downtime failure analysis., • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards., • Coach and mentor apprentices and less experienced team members., • Actively participate in continuous improvement activities and TPM initiatives to enhance quality, safety, and efficiency., • Collaborate effectively with production and support teams to maintain smooth operations.QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES, • Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to interpret schematics, manuals, and blueprints., • Ability to train, mentor, and guide apprentices., • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed., • Knowledge of NEC and IEC (National Electrical Code and Industrial Electrical Code)., • Certification and training in NFPA 70E electrical safety standards., • Proficiency in PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, CNC, automation, and robotic controls., • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams., • Results-driven mindset with ability to make timely, quality decisions.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE, • High school diploma or equivalent required., • One of the following minimum requirements:, • At least 7 years of experience in a relevant trade field, OR, • Journeyman Trade Certificate with relevant experience, OR, • 2-year technical degree in a related field plus 3 years’ experience in Machine Repair/Industrial Electrical., • Significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.RELEVANT EXPERIENCE MAY INCLUDE, • Controls Engineering, • Industrial Automation, • Robotics, • Residential or Commercial Electrical, • Heavy Duty Equipment Maintenance, • Welding and Fabrication, • Machining, • Farming and Agricultural equipment maintenance and repair Education: High School Company DescriptionCompunnel Inc., established in 1994; is a leading provider of Staffing, IT/Software, e-Learning/Training, Business Intelligence, and Cloud Solutions.
