You'll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly- helping organize, load, and manage our beverage inventory so our customers stay stocked and happy. What You'll Do: • Unload trucks, receive and organize product, • Pull orders and build delivery routes, • Support drivers and the warehouse team with loading and replenishing stock, • Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and operating efficiently, • Help out with light maintenance and occasional delivery routes, • Use basic computer systems to record inventory, • Lift and move cases and kegs (20160 lbs), • Work a regular schedule of Monday-Friday, with a shift time ranging from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to equal an 8-hour workday, plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Some overtime may be expected. What Were Looking For: • Must be 18+ with a valid drivers license and clean driving record, • Must be able to pass a physical and drug screen, • Ability to safely lift, move, and organize products throughout the shift, • Detail-oriented, dependable, and motivated to get the job done right, • Prior warehouse or forklift experience is a plus, but well train the right person, • CDL-A (Commercial Driver's License) interest encouraged- training available! Full Job Description: Warehouse Assistant Classification Non-Exempt Reports to Warehouse Manager Responsibilities & Essential Functions • Assists shipping and receiving by unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, and matching purchase orders to sales orders., • Reads customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped., • Moves materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas., • Sorts and places product according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, or product code., • Helps drivers and/or loading crew find product, build, and load routes., • Replenishes pick areas while following FIFO rotation., • Gathers orders for warehouse pick up., • Ensures warehouse is accessible and safe for employees and customer traffic., • Marks materials with identifying information using appropriate methods., • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer programs., • Assists in the counting of physical inventory., • Conducts minor facilities and delivery truck maintenance., • Ensures warehouse and office cleanliness., • Makes trips to other distributors for pick-ups., • Wears the proper safety equipment., • Assists delivery drivers on route when needed. Required Skills & Abilities • Ability to accurately receive, check in, and record inventory using purchase orders, shipping documents, and software systems., • Capable of safely and efficiently moving, sorting, and organizing product using manual or mechanical means., • Able to mark materials clearly, follow proper rotation procedures (FIFO), and ensure accurate labeling and documentation., • Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and accessible warehouse and work area, including proper product placement., • Willingness to assist other departments or coworkers, such as helping drivers or joining route deliveries when needed., • Able to identify discrepancies in orders, troubleshoot minor maintenance issues, and support general warehouse operations., • Must be able to lift, move, and handle products and materials regularly throughout the shift., • Ability to perform light maintenance tasks on facilities or delivery trucks., • Comfortable using warehouse or inventory software to record shipments and inventory levels., • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Education & Experience • Must be 18 years of age or older., • Must have valid drivers license., • No DWI/DUI or excessive driving infractions in last 5 years., • Eligibility for and interest in obtaining a CDL-A (Commercial Drivers License) strongly preferred. Training provided by company if necessary., • One year of prior warehouse clerk experience preferred., • Forklift experience strongly preferred., • Basic mechanical skills preferred. Work Environment This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers. Physical Requirements • Manual Dexterity and Coordination: Regular use of hands and fingers for fine manipulation, handling, and feeling objects. This includes reaching with hands and arms., • Communication: Regular talking and hearing are required for effective communication., • Mobility: Frequent standing and walking are necessary. This also includes frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling., • Balance and Elevation: Occasional climbing or balancing is required., • Sedentary Periods: Occasional sitting is required., • Lifting and Moving:, • Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds., • Frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds., • Occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 160 pounds (kegs). Position Type and Expected Hours of Work Regular workdays are Mondays-Fridays, and shift times range from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 8-hour workdays plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Some overtime may be expected. Travel Day travel in company vehicles occasionally.
